Clean and handy location
That the heaters were locked and it was too cool in the bedrooms. The beds were uncomfortable and squeaky. The bathroom door creaked and probably needs re-hanging. The shower was just a trickle.

Absolutely stunning cottage in Malin Head, perfect location for exploring the area and very cosy and comfortable, very homely! Great communication from the host and easy instructions for checking in and out. Highly recommend and we hope to be back soon!
Nothing at all, highly recommend!

Clean and tidy and had everything you needed.
More comfortable beds/mattresses. There was no enclosed part of garden for kids or dog. No privacy to sit in garden. When we arrived we had no water and the cleaner informed us that the area had issues with no water. She kindly went to local well to give us buckets of water so we could at least flush toilets. Informed the hosts about this and they basically said it's not their problem and hope you enjoy your stay. Thankfully water was restored the next day so we could shower and wash.

Location was good for us. But difficult to find. Water and chips supplied. As was clean towels and toiletries.
The only sink in bathroom was very small, cloakroom style, and impossible to have a wet shave or even properly wash your hands. Not many friendly at all. The beds were lumpy and creaky and not a great night's sleep. The cottage was very close to road and neighbours had no walls around garden, so unable to let the dogs out. When we tried the next door dog appeared and scared both dogs, disaster. So had to be kept indoors when there. Not pet friendly. We had a
great visit to the county. Not were glad to be leaving the cottage. Not pet friendly at all, jammed to close to road and between other properties, then the building works and lorries in small gap to rear of house, right outside window.. Never again

We loved the quaint quirky decor.
The only problem we had as it is February it was very cold at night especially in the hall and bathroom :(

Loved the fire. Having the satellite TV was a bonus as I got to watch the rugby matches on the Saturday. Only used the fire on the last night and my pooch absolutely loved it. It was a quiet cosy wee retreat that allowed me to relax and getting a bit of cycling in and give the dog lovely long walks along the beach close by, Five fingers strand.
In the bleak mid winter the electric heaters made it a hard place to keep warm. They had to be on 24 hours. But the place was by no means cold.
Easy to get too. Just off the main road upto Malin Head.

Location
There wasn’t a secure area to let the dog out & for us to relax , maybe fencing off an area would fix this .

Quaint and beautiful. The welcome basket was a lovely touch.

Considering the remote area, the location is perfect!
You can enjoy the calm countryside of extreme Donegal (the only noise you'll have outside comes from the pastures, plus the cottage seems soundproof - so no bother at all!).
The owners are very friendly and overall the cottage is well maintained. There were only two of us, but even for 4 people it is more than fine. Great location for several trips into Donegal (from Malin Head to Fanad Head lighthouse, also convenient for visiting Derry). Recommended!
THIS IS NOT A NEGATIVE NOTE, just a side note that might help other travellers: we noticed that the cottage is not easily found on Google Maps. Much easier from Apple Maps though.

Be's cottage is an excellent place to stay. We loved the cottage and facilities. Appreciated the open fire and that fuel was supplied. It's the perfect place to stay in the area and we discovered so many places off the beaten track. Communication with the hosts could not have been better. I highly recommend staying at Be's Cottage.

stunning property in a great location. very authentic.
the frying pan was very old and smoked immediately setting off all the fire alarms. it wasn’t the end of the world but made cooking a bit of a task.

Nice little touches like complimentary crisps, water and coffee pods as well as Netflix, Prime Video etc. Fully equipped kitchen. Very comfortable beds. The cottage itself is also very child friendly, especially for younger kids.
The shower pressure was quite weak but that’s only a minor issue.

Location is great once you have transport. It was so quiet and scenery is beautiful.
Beds are very small .when your used to a king-size with your husband it was very hard sleep in a small double.I slept on the couch which was a 2 seater not the best but got some shut eye.

The house was fabulous however the water got turned off during our stay which I understand wasn't the hosts fault it was the council who did it but we heard from others in the area that it can happen quite often and as we had a wedding to go to it would have been nice to be made aware of that issue
