Good but could be better
It's hard to rate this accurately, it's good but could be better. My rating is based on the accommodation, not dinner in the restaurant which was really very good. This is a 'motel' with a difference! At first glance it's a huge steak house but they have 16 rooms in lodges nestled in the woods to the rear which are modelled on American motels but finished to a much higher spec. Each room has either a terrace or balcony with rocking chairs and table. The theme seems to be based on a Montana or mid west lumberjacks but is new and modern with a high quality finish. Rooms are a decent size with a HUGE (probably super king) bed, the bathroom is an obscene size! To be honest it has a lot of wasted space but anyway there is a double sink and large walk in shower. Think denim, antlers and animals of the wild west for features of both the rooms and the restaurant. Now to the restaurant, amazing! It's huge, with seating for smaller tables and groups. The wild west design is prevalent throughout with bison, antlers and other artefacts on the walls. There is a ginormous TV screen displaying scenes of the American wild west, one of the largest bars I've ever seen and a cocktail/drinks menu to match. Now to food, this is billed as a steak restaurant and that's what we had but the options for meat of all sorts, fajitas, wings etc was huge. The dessert menu is equally impressive and modelled on traditional American desserts such as cheesecakes and a fabulous selection of ice creams. We were suitably stuffed after dinner and then did it all again for breakfast where the menu is just as long (note it's a full breakfast offering, nothing light such as pastries but you can have fruit, yogurt and porridge. It's pay for what you order rather than a buffet or set menu). All in all a unique place which served as a good base for our one night stay whilst travelling.
It's all mod cons, perhaps too modern for the facilities ~ panel controlled lighting and air con. Air con instructions of course were in German and hard to navigate so we didn't quite get the temperature right but still slept well. The lighting isn't quite right, either just mood lighting which isn't enough to see to read for example, or full lighting, it needs an in-between to be practical. We had a problem with our room as the bathroom hadn't been fully cleaned. The shift manager made the effort to come and see us to discuss which was much appreciated and we were happy with the resolution.

Comfortable hotel
Clean (although they should clean under the beds too. There appeared to be a ‘pleasure toy’ from a previous guest.) Level of detail and finishing of the room interior design is superb
Check-in takes a very long time. There’s a lot of staff walking around but only one can take care of check ins. This process should be optimized by management because guests have to wait 10-15 min to get a simple key card. Same with check-out when asking for a company bill. Takes them ages to get it sorted. Having breakfast there is super expensive. You can better go to the place Nextdoor. The hotel is located next to a main road and you need a car/motor/taxi to get to the center

The tee shirts/sweatshirts aren't shelved in size order so difficult to find specific sizes- a small thing in general but i had to go back 3 times while they dealt with other customers

Beautiful surroundings. Large bathroom, comfortable bed and combination of natural wood/stone materials. Great food in the restaurant but expensive.

Pleasant
Very interesting interiour design, pretty good location (not in the city, but still very close to get to the Altstadt just by foot. Huge parking place just next to the hotel and restaurants buildings.
Somehow all the efforts of the owners went to the rooms decorations, but more attention should be paid to the personal (maybe, they are heavily underpaid or the head of staff is not perfect as it could be). First of all, the person at the reception would like me to pay for the room for the second time, even if I gave them the evidance that my reservation is 100% pre-paid. Eventually my record was found in their computer. Not a single pardion after the incident. Then nobody even thought to offer me a reservation in the restaurant tonight. So the place was full and I was not able to have my dinner there. So no idea if the food is tasty or not, but taking into account the restaurant personal was extremely over-stressed, I would expect it is not. Cocktail were tasty, but every interaction with the personal required double-triple of reminding.
