Renovated Loft on Working Farm

The ideal place if you wish to relax and escape the hustle, the bustle, the noise, the rush. A narrow road leads you through the countryside to a private lane leading to the farm. Plenty of space for your car(s), right in front of the lodging. The accommodation itself is on the upper floor of a beautiful barn, typical local architecture. Superb timber frame (just mind your head a little). The place was clean and well equiped with quality wooden furniture. Nice wooden floor (made with wood from the property). Plenty of space. The layout of the living spaces is well thought out. Perfect shower / bathroom. 4 roof windows. Perfect English bed. Big table in the middle of the lodging. Cosy TV corner with sofa. You can watch farming work (reminds me of my childhood) all around. Very nice people on the farm. We had some trouble with the car and I was worried because the place is rather isolated, but they helped us immediately and organized technical support very close to the farm on a saturday! We just walked to collect our car once repaired. We would not have had a better and faster support in the middle of New York! We went to a beautiful restaurant (7 min drive to the center of Mayfield) serving excellent dishes. From this farm we visited Ightham Mote, Hever Castle, Southfield Park and Tunbridge Wells.

Nothing we disliked. Only suggestions like: maybe a fan to help the next heat waves. A slightly wider bed.

No wardrobe!

The property was really well thought out. It had everything we needed and more. It was extremely clean and comfortable. The welcome package was very ‘welcome' after a battle with the M25. Carly was extremely helpful, answering my questions very promptly. We had an enjoyable stay in a rural location, which was peaceful and accessible for the Bluebell railway, which we had previously booked. We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation and the location.

Hosts were really friendly and helpful. Good location and nice and quite. Accomadation was spotless and cosy with some nice little touches. Will definitely stay again.
