Single room (#300) not suitable for a men over 1.85m; my feet touched one wall, my head the opposite… diagonal was the “solution”; without a pillow , otherwise my chin would have touched my chest…. Btw; the shower wasn’t sealed properly; water entered my room till over 50% (for 13m2 is always about 2m!!!)

This was a self check in hotel so didn’t see any staff!! We booked the room online at 7pm but couldn’t get into our room until 8.30 as it takes a while for their booking system to update from Booking.com!!!! No breakfast offered and no lift. No tea or coffee in the room

No reception, had to wait 20 minutes for someone to drive to the “hotel” and give me a key (I booked and arrived at 22:45. At least he was a nice guy). Quite expensive for a very small room. Hair/dust in the corners. TV did not work with plug for sat box broken/dangerous. No shampoo and no body wash. Not a single bottle of water in the room. No AC and only way to get some air was the window that’s directly on main road so constant cars/scooters/motorcycles driving throughout the night. To top it off the 7AM church bells sounded like they were ringing on my head.

Only the location

I had planned to stay there for 2 nights but room was without a window then I left after one night. I asked them to change the room but there wasn’t free room. The staff member that I asked for change the room or some other solution, asked me to talk to his boss and let me know what he can do. No sounds until now. I had to book another hotel for second night. As a frequent traveler I am really disappointed.

Disappointing

There were no instructions on how to receive the keys. I had looked around for someone to help me but there wasn't anyone until I noticed that the keys were on a desk with my name on it. It would've been nice to know how to collect them ahead of time. The room had a fan but it did not help cool it down. Because the room was so small it felt like a sauna. One of the cabinents was also full of trash from a previous guest.

The staff was welcoming although there was a language barrier at first, they even allowed us to order dinner (obviously not for free haha) in the residence/hotel restaurant. Although my travel companion hated the pizza, it was OK (6/10) to me but it was very expensive seen that the place is located in the countryside, around12 km from Luzern. The building has been just refurbished and it is definitely tangible as a characteristic

The price was way too expensive, especially as the photos show you a sort of flat when we have been given for the price we paid, 130 francs. The room was very tiny, the double bed was a sort of futon, with a very low hanging bed frame almost on the floor rather than having a half metre distance between the floor and the bed. The food we ordered was basic but very expensive but we could not go anywhere else as the place is in the middle of nowhere. A glass shattered in the middle of the night seen how short (10 cm) the window sill is where I left the glass for a second, I could have seriously hurt myself and my travel companion. No breakfast was included for the price but a mediocre chain bakery is there.

It is located outside Lucern in a quietand nice village and very convinient, only if you have a car. Suer market just next to the room. Room for two persons is big and bed and pillows were very convinient.

The room was not very clean, ( they should use anti calc products, cause showers doors were extremely dump ). The room had a smell of smoke.

No one to be seen. Keys after a phone call with someone who spoke barely English. Kitchen poorly equiped. Room at sub terrain level. Lots of flies. Bad Wifi connection.

Room was cleaned and location was easily accessible with public transport. Had a bus stop in front of the property. There was a small terrace as well to had dinner or drink while enjoying the sunset.

Very rude and unprofessional property. Denied our fully paid booking on arrival. Threatened to call police if we don't leave right away and Locked their doors, when we were trying to get alternative booking and asked us to wait outside. And all this when we were travelling with 2 young kids and had reached after travelling for the whole day. Shameful act. Unreliable and insensitive owners. We had booked this property 4 months in advance and they even confirmed the booking when we checked 15 days before. They simply gave our booking to someone else at a higher price. Such greedy people. Please stay away and stay safe.

One of the positives was the hotel's location, situated opposite a charming church. On a Sunday, I had the opportunity to witness a procession of people heading to the church, which added a cultural touch to my stay. Additionally, the hotel managed to maintain a peaceful ambiance, with minimal noise disturbance from other guests, allowing for a relatively tranquil environment.

There were a couple of aspects that left me less satisfied. The first issue was the absence of floor drainage in the bathroom. This posed an inconvenience as any water spilled during face washing or other activities would accumulate on the floor, creating an uncomfortable and potentially hazardous situation. It would have been more convenient to have proper floor drainage to avoid such concerns. Another drawback was the slow drainage in the shower. It took a considerable amount of time for the water to fully drain, which led to an accumulation of water in the shower area. This extended waiting time was somewhat inconvenient and diminished the overall experience of using the facilities.

Lucerne Stay was good!

The location was good and few minutes drive from the Lucerne attraction spots. - free parking onsite - the host was friendly - you have the basic stuff in the room - decent size room with attached bathroom - clean However you need to take your own shampoo, body wash, tooth paste. its a self checkin room, so you would need to take the keys from the key box. The keys are named in German so if the hosts sends a message with the key name and be careful because bookings.com will translate this into English and you may have confusions, so better to read the original versions. overall value for money!
