Ferienwohnung Scheffelhaus

A spacious apartment, well-equipped, nicely furnished with a kingsize bed; handily located centrally and without any noise issues. Gengenbach is a small, scenic, compact and fairly vibrant town, with the main emphasis being on eating & drinking out, especially during the good weather when one can sit outside. We loved it there! Our main daytime activities were Black Forest walks and visiting nearby places by train (we were given a Konus card for free travel). Triberg has the world’s largest cuckoo clock, and a forest walk with viewing platforms of the “looped” railway. Schiltach is a scenic and tranquil village which is also well worth visiting by train.

The apartment is nice but very much open-plan, with the bed, settee & dining table being in the one room, and with an open doorway into the kitchen. This is fine for most, although we prefer separate rooms as we have vastly different sleep patterns.

C'est une magnifique maison à colombages située dans le magnifique centre ancien de Gengenbach. Le logement est en rez-de-chaussée surélevé. Le chauffage est parfait. La salle de bain-wc est bien équipée; un peu étroite quand même : personne corpulente s'abstenir. La cuisine est parfaitement équipée et pratique. En résumé, aucune raison de ne pas choisir cet hébergement qui est vraiment très bien.
