An excellent property, beautifully refurbished with parking.

Location was excellent. Next door to Metro station, a short walk to bars and restaurants and the sea front.

It did the job but I wouldn’t hurry back.

Great location. Well appointed kitchen and very spacious lounge and dining areas. Nice space to have Christmas in, once I had sourced some sofa throws and cozied the place up a bit. Good Sonos music system.

Bedroom pillows were flat and need replacing. Generally a bit style over substance with some DIY needed, eg, door handles came off in your hand on main door to hall and both handles on log burner doors. Sofas uncomfortable, TV really small for the room size and seating area. Dining room chairs too high to fit well beneath table. Also despite having booked it for 17 nights, was still made to pay £30 to check in 2 hours early!!!

Superb property in a superb town.

This was our third stay in Peacock House. We love the style of the property and its location which is so close to the centre with its range of shops, bars and restaurants, and to the beautiful Victorian train station from which the trams now run. We will be back again to enjoy the coastal walks and the general vibe.

Good stay, with a few more bits it would’ve been great.

Great location, huge space, stylish and slightly quirky design.

Would’ve been nice to have a few more utensils in the kitchen (peeler, masher etc), plus no cooking oil or logs for the fire, albeit there were firelighters and matches.

Great place to stay.

Excellent location in Tynemouth for bars, beaches and Metro. Plenty of room for 2 people to have a relaxed stay. Well equipped.

Relaxing and convenient for a short break

Location was perfect. Very near the metro and bus stops and a minutes walk to the lovely village and coast. Very good restaurants on the doorstep.

Great location for babymoon

Beautiful property in a great location, will definitely be back. Able to walk to all local amenities and the parking permit is very handy. Also easy to access by train.

Great accommodation in central location

Great standard of accommodation offered. Understand why the property is restricted to two adults as there are locked rooms for private areas of the flat for when owner visits. Multi level period property with decent kitchen including air fryer. Great location in Tynemouth, with resident parking readily available.

Issue with kettle when we arrived and quickly resolved. Provide more than one toilet roll.

A fabulous home from home in lovely Tynemouth

We had a lovely stay at Peacock Hpuse - a really lovely home from home we hosted a lunch on the Saturday with friends in the wonderful well equipped kitchen at the huge kitchen table and popped over to the amazing market at Tynemouth market which was a few footsteps away. We would love to come again as apart from the fabulous standard of the accommodation, the location is perfect for proximity to Newcastle and the coast.

Only complaint was the hinges were broken on the bedroom door, making it a bit dangerous however was fixed second day of our stay.

Exceptional property in a great location

The property is absolutely stunning, we were blown away when we walked in. Having never been to Tynemouth before we did not know what to expect, but the area, bars, restaurants are walks all exceeded our expectations.

The weather....but it is the North East of England on a ban holiday :)

Stunning property in a perfect location

Tynemouth is a great little seaside town and a terrific jumping off point for Tyneside and Northumberland. Peacock House is mega-close to the Metro station which connects you to Newcastle, the airport, St James Park, Whitley Bay, etc. You're a 2 minute walk from dozens of places to eat and drink, all of which are a great standard. Peacock House itself is big, quirky and cool. A really memorable place to stay.

My only gripe is that there's a security deposit with a £10 charge for processing it. I've advised Host & Stay who manage the property for the owners that the £10 should get lost in the overall fee so that it's transparent at the point you book with Booking.com. I hope they pay attention.

Relaxing home from home

Peacock House is a marvellous place to stay (hidden gem), the pictures do not do it justice. it’s huge for 2 people. if you like space it’s great. just a 2 minute walk to all the cafes restaurants and bars in Tynemouth and easy access to metro for travel further afield. we’ve already booked in our next visit. favourite room was sitting in kitchen with wine and music on the Sonos speaker.

stairs, as it’s an old building there are lots of short height stairs, but that’s as I am wobbly on any stairs so was careful on these ones.

only slight downside was the heating. when we arrived the weather was very cold n In fact snowing. the place was close to freezing when we arrived and took a number of hours to warm up. in future I would suggest that they put the heating on prior to guests arrival in winter.

Peacock House is a treasure !

We were delighted to discover Peacock House for our holiday accommodation, whilst we visited family who live in the area. The location is absolutely perfect for walking into Tynemouth and accessing the Metro to get into Newcastle if desired. The property itself is exceptional, and the decor is inspirational. It was easy to access on arrival and everything had been left in first class condition for us. Everything you could possibly want is there, and more! I hope we left it in perfect condition, because we look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

Peacock House a superb place to stay to visit this area and felt like a really luxury treat!

fabulous decor - stunning yet very comfortable. peacock theme was lovely, bath in bedroom was a nice luxury. proximity to town and coastline was great.

that there was another private floor which we didn’t know about and the back stairs from the boiler area which was a bit spooky on arrival in the dark - might be worth adding to welcome pack to warn guests as it was no issue once we’d explored!

we would have appreciated a few supplies I.e. small amounts of oil, vinegar, condiments. beans for coffee machine and more than one roll of toilet paper.

It was fine for the limited stay that we had but would drive us crazy to have to live there.

It was spacious and in an ideal location for our specific needs.

Dislike bare floorboards generally but especially ones like these that are not designed to be exposed. the large industrial kitchen table and the too heavy ‘ghost’ chairs were totally inappropriate in our opinion. Finally, the three steps down into the bathroom are not easy to negotiate at night, especially for more elderly guests. We would recommend installing a safety hand rail on the wall. Oh, and no obvious way to recycle rubbish!

Property was stunning and was in an ideal position for everything Tynemouth and surrounding areas had to offer. It was lovely quiet ,safe area, next to all the restaurantbetc

Unfortunately the duvet had stains on it, as did the top duvet cover. One of the pots had lost its coating and was not easy to clean, also sink under bowl was needing bleaching. All and all everything was great( just thought it might be of interest to the owners). Also salt and pepper would be a good staple to have in kitchen.
