AMAZING PLACE FOR A STAY

This was a mega stay for me and the wife. Perfect location and very spacious.

The noise from the pubs in the morning from 0400 banging empty kegs about for 3hrs straight. Only fault but this cant be helped.

We had a great stay, would definitely come again and will certainly recommend!

A beautiful feel to it, historic with lovely old features, yet restored and well decorated. It was warm and cosy, the beds were very comfortable and the showers were excellent.

Could’ve done with some shelving in the kitchen area, the layout of that space needs a little rethinking- the cutlery and plates were in an odd spot.

Everything so warm so comfty and right in the middle of the city centre with all the good restaurants and pubs around you I’ll come here again

It lack of some things like it needs a another oven glove as I nearly had a accident with trying to take something out of the oven just with one glove it also needs washing up clothes and scrubber and shampoos as notice it was nearly empty when I had a shower but all rest is perfect

What a beautiful historic apartment the location was perfect

The apartment could have been cleaner and better equipped.We couldn't close the bathroom door as the door frame was coming away. Only one mug and everything stored in dishwasher as lack of cupboard space.This being said I would happily stay again for its location and the beauty of the exterior of the property if these points were addressed.

Ideal for city centre and fantastic value for money

Very quirky and fantastic spot for a university graduation , loved the period features and uneven floors and staircases but with modern amenities also with fab showers and cosy bedrooms

The living room was a hit uncomfortable especially for 4 of us and sofa really need replacing

Cosy little place with historic importance

The noise coming from the street was disturbing as the house/ room is simply next to the road. There are a couple of pubs etc so can imagine the noise at night with people wandering outside...

The location is excellent in the heart of the city. Beds very comfortable. Lovely old building with great original features.

Nice on paper but would not recommend

Location on paper is amazing with the cathedral as a backdrop, in reality it is noisy, and feels unsafe with the front door opening out onto a busy thoroughfare

As a lone female occupant, I felt unsafe with the front door opening out onto a busy thoroughfare. People walked by at all times of the day and night. It was very noisy. Both mornings workers with loud equipment were nearby from 06:00 hrs. Also saw a large rat in the rear courtyard.

Nice city centre accommodation

The accommodation is right in the city center, which is excellent. The rooms are spacious and well equipped.

We could hear people from the street until midnight, as there is a pub nearby.

Superficially looks amazing, but there are many downsides

The location was good and bad at the same time. TV was good The kitchen facilities were good and bad at the same time.

About an inch gap under the front door, which let in both noise and the cold, even though they provided a draught excluder. Located next to a Wetherspoons pub. I would not recommend staying on a Friday / Saturday evening. Path directly outside meant lots of noisy people walking past. Unsure of cleanliness - there was a pubic hair on the side of the shower. See photo The locks on the front door were not the greatest, and I think could be pushed / kicked open very easily As a lone, female traveller, it felt a bit unsafe. As there were other areas of the apartment that were unclean, it made me wonder about the kitchen facilities. All plates etc. shoved in a drawer. I washed everything before I used it, just in case.

Beautiful historic place to stay in the heart of the city

The cottage was superbly appointed, fitted out very sympathetically with lots of modern touches throughout. Lovely comfortable beds, plenty of hot water for showers, fluffy towels and snuggly bedding. Kitchen very well equipped, all as described. brilliant location - no noise interference with sleep given the city centre location. Genuinely cannot complain - fantastic place to stay. A******

The only downside was getting locked out on day 2 when the battery failed on the front door for the entry keypad. However, one phone call, and this was sorted out very swiftly, maintenance man was wonderful and the whole thing dealt with quickly and professionally. A gesture of goodwill was offered as a result, and it gave me confidence that when there is an issue, its resolved quickly and efficiently. Well done all :)

Cracking stay, really central and great property.

Perfect location, directly opposite the cathedral (both the old and the new) and literally 200ft from the shopping areas in the city! Perfect!

Would have been great to have a laminated sheet with where the cutley/cups were particularly in 6, but this is me being very picky. Also, would be great to have a washing up sponge if possible - think the cleaners may have just missed it as everything else was absolutely perfect.

Budget property but dirty.

We liked the look of the property with its original beams, very pretty.

It was very dirty. One of my children’s toys rolled under one of the beds and it was covered in dust. The shower head was covered with hair. My daughters toilet door lock fell off locking her in. Hard to find things such as cups and glasses (in the tv stand) Rugs stained and smelt so didn’t feel comfortable letting my baby crawl around. Outside the property a lot of rats (not the properties fault but was not ideal.)

Home away from home in a city centre location

Absolutely amazing property to stay in, beautiful old cottage style. Very clean, very comfortable beds and everything need for a great stay away. Home away from home.

Unfortunately it is located right in the city centre, so if you don’t like city noise it’s not for you, it didn’t bother us in the slightest and I would stay here again in a heartbeat

Quirky and unique for sure. A real sense of history, but with most of the comforts of a modern home. The in this particular property are not for the faint of heart. But upstairs over 2 floors was excellent accommodation, including a large master. With good black out shades and plenty of windows to help with the airflow on a hot British summers day. Easy walk to nearby pubs and restaurants. Also reasonably priced overnight parking about 6 mins walk. Recommended

Didn't affect us but definitely wouldn't suit anyone with mobility issues. Very steep narrow staircases but for us that added to the atmosphere of the building

The apartment had lots of character and was well situated.

I was there with a 23 month old child and had the shock of my life at the steep sloping stairs, having to carry child and buggy up them at the same time was not safe. No baby gate or anything to prevent small child falling down stairs. Also the priory garden that my apartment looked out on, at night had junkies taking drugs underneath our living room window and constant cannabis smokers, so windows had to be kept closed. Not a safe environment outside.

Pretty cottages in central location

Very central location and easy to find and get inside. Neat and tidy with most things you need. Good security on the front door.

No mirror apart from the in the bathroom, so couldn't use the hairdryer in front of a mirror. Noisy delivery of beer to the Wetherspoons at 5.20am - audible from the bedroom. Felt a little insecure as a single woman with the central location and lots of people milling about - right outside the window / front door.

Great location, home especially with a group of friends!

Really great stay, central location! We stopped here on the night of my wedding with the bridal party, lots of rooms and lovely bathrooms for everyone to get ready in! Lovely decor and modern rooms!

Excellent accommodation, location and host .

House was excellent, clean and comfortable. Host was amazing allowing us to check in early as we had a wedding to attend. Great location for access to town center. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Central and historic

Really interesting historic building, very old and characterful. Bedrooms were spacious and beds comfortable. Stairs were steep and floors sloping - fine for us but may not suit everyone. Central location close to the cathedral and surprisingly quiet given a busy area.

I didn’t get the door code on the day and had to chase this up. However this was sorted out quickly.
