Great modern apartment in central Modena.

Lovely clean modern apartment, great price to quality ratio, comfortable bed, fantastic quiet air con, good location near Modena main square, about 15 minute walk to Ferrari museum. Fantastic TV with Netflix and streaming capability which was nice.

No cooking basics supplies (no oil, salt or pepper, no sharp knives) - but plenty of cutlery/plates/pans etc so still possible to cook.

Overall a nice little place but let down by its own entry system

Located between train station and the centre where we needed to go for friends party, so location worked for us.

The smart key via app that’s not always so smart, as we found out coming back from friends party after mid night, it decided not to work (even worked fine all day before that), so we were stuck outside for hours trying to contact booking and owner, eventually the lady had to come to let us in, not good for us or her in the middle of the night.

Good, but the solution for the key does not work proper

The appartment is very good equipped, but a little bit tinny for 3 people. It is near to the city center.

The decision with the key via application is smart, but unfortunately does not work properly. We staid there for 4 nights and at the begin it worked very well. Unfortunately, even we both are working as IT, on our last night we came late in the evening, and we were not able to open the door. We tried to call the owner but there was no answer. We were staying in the midnight with our child on the street and no other possibility but searching for another free room in the hotel nearby. We had additional unexpected costs paying expensive rooms and the owner did nor recover this extra money. The most important topic for her was that we take out our luggage on the next morning to be possible to clean the apartment for the next guests. It seems that this key-solution is linked to the internet and if the router was shut down for any reason, it is not possible to work again properly. Nearby was a construction site and maybe during the day they switched off the electricity. At the evening the key application gave us a message that we are on the wrong address and our key is for apartment in Bologna, which is completely wrong. Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience with this property.

Modena is a beautiful authentic Italian town with amazing food and lots to do

Great location, 5 mins from the train station, then 5 mins from the main square. The room was beautifully renovated with gorgeous modern and rustic features and the ability to plug chrome cast in to TV. Host also allowed us to check in earlier than we expected to drop our bags off.

very modern apartment in the heart of Modena. owner did her best to make it comfortable for us (even arranged the parking permit, ZTL)

We had to delay (17:30 instead of 15:00) our check-in as the electronic lock was not working and the owner had to arrange some st. Also one time during our stay we had a difficulty with the electronic lock, as the application wasn’t working. which the owner resolved within a few minutes.

The location

Keyless door. If you have a problem downloading the application, then the big problems start because the flat manager does not want to give the keys. Too expensive if you lose them! A silly joke.

Would have been great if it didn’t stink

The property is in a great spot, it’s close to the train station and the historic centre. The bed is big and comfortable and the apartment is clean and modern with basic amenities. It’s quite spacious for a studio. Easy check in with helpful instructions (be aware you need to download an app).

The apartment stunk. We entered the apartment and it immediately stunk of stagnant water and sewage. We opened windows and turned off the heater which improved the smell. As soon as we turned the heater back on, the apartment stunk again. So we were cold over night because we couldn’t use the heater after having the windows open to reduce the smell in the middle of winter. Disappointed to see other recent reviews about the smell (available after our booking was paid for) and not so much as an air freshener available (we bought one ourselves). The shower doesn’t drain properly either (which probably doesn’t help the smell). We only stayed one night so we notified the hosts upon departure and they apologised but I’m not really impressed at the price we paid for accommodation we couldn’t heat.

Don’t do it unless you have a high stress level. You’re in big trouble if u cannot make an international telephone call, the person answering your call does not speak your language, your iPhone is charged, you can connect to the internet, and you’re an IT expert downloading APPs to your iPhone. You arrive during daytime and not night, and it’s not freezing nor raining. The tip off to trouble to come was when the taxi driver pulled up to a door with only a street number. There was no hotel sign nor anyone to greet you. This is not a hotel. It is an air B and B although it is represented by Booking as a Hotel. To access the facilities, you must make an international call (good luck with that). Fortunately for me the person answering the call spoke passable English. Hopefully, she will speak your language. You are directed by her to download an APP on to your iPhone, to access this APP which will unlock doors. If your battery is down nor you cannot access the internet again, you’re in trouble. After 10 minutes of trying to download the appointed APP, she remotely unlocked the exterior and the room door to let me in. Again, after spending about 20 minutes on an international call, I convinced her to come over and set up the app for me. “I know how to download an APP. But this APP was not compatible with my iPhone” After she set up the APP on my iPhone she left, and my next concern was would the APP work when I went out to eat. Upon return, the APP let me access the exterior door but not the room door. Again, she remotely opens the unit door. I checked out the next morning for a hotel. I blame Booking.com for some of this confusion. I thought I was booking a hotel. There is no indication on the Booking confirmation form that this is not a hotel. I have booked over one hundred hotel rooms with Bookings over many years. This is the first time I have felt compelled to write a review. Furthermore, it’s not that good of a location.

Communication with contact person/host was terrible. It seemed like everything was too much effort. Also, she didn’t keep to agreements as she was too late in the morning. We weren’t able to store bikes although the apartment was big enough.

Posizione perfetta. Appartamento perfetto! Sia la pulizia e tutto che concerne l’uso della cucina, fornita di tutto. Anche per la colazione .

😣 la ragazza addetta al check in subito Indispettita dal nostro arrivo. Comunque ci ha fatto lasciare le valigie in deposito, al ritorno per entrare nel ns appartamento non riuscivamo ad usare il ns codice. Abbiamo richiesto la sua presenza molto scocciata ci ha raggiunto con fare nervoso. Avendo problemi anche lei. Ci ha poi lasciato nel’ androne, lasciandoci esterrefatti dal suo atteggiamento. Tutto l’appartamento è perfetto.

Bello ma ingresso difficoltoso

La proprietaria/responsabile è arrivata in tempi abbastanza rapidi. Probabilmente solo per un colpo di fortuna che si trovasse in zona. Appartamento ben arredato e decisamente carino. In una magnifica posizione centrale.

Appartamento/camera gestita da remoto con app che regolarmente non funzionano. Cosa ovviamente non segnalata in fase di prenotazione. Procedura per il WiFi non segnalata in appartamento. Cattivo odore in appartamento. C'è il bollitore, ma non ci sono bustine di the/tisane. Alla fine abbiamo risolto l'ingresso e la mia tranquillità con un mazzo di chiavi che mi hanno portato. Ma se uno viaggia per lavoro ha i tempi contati e comunque non ha voglia di perdere tempo a causa di una gestione scellerata dei proprietari. E' un classico che si arrivi alla porta interna dell'appartamento e, causa assenza di campo, l'app per aprire non vada. Ed è inutile che si dica che si sono mandate procedure via mail/WhatsApp o video tutorial. Io devo arrivare in appartamento ed avere le chiavi. Mi è stato detto che siamo nel 2025 e devo io adeguarmi. Se la proprietaria preferisce stare seduta in divano mentre i suoi ospiti imprecano cercando di usufruire di un servizio che hanno pagato lo può fare, ma che sappia che è un modo comodo e scellerato di gestire un'impresa. Seppur piccola. Ovviamente non tornerò più, ma sappiate che in Modena è quasi la prassi.

Colazione non prevista (ma lo sapevamo), salvo il fatto che non ci sono bar o simili a breve distanza dall'alloggio. Grossi problemi con il sistema di apertura delle porte da remoto, tanto da costringerci ad aspettare alcune ore l'arrivo di una incaricata del proprietario che ci ha consegnato un mazzo di chiavi

Para abrir la llave funciona a través de una aplicación. Como la aplicación no funcione no puedes entrar al apartamento y tiene que venir alguien a darte unas llaves físicas que en nuestro caso estuvimos esperando más de media hora en la puerta y con un bebé…
