You get what you pay for I suppose. Cheap accommodation with no creature comforts and poor food.

Friendly people running the place, easy parking, location OK if you have a car, drier for ski boots.

Breakfast was far too limited, my son is 8 years old and there was nothing suitable for him on the first day - we had to ask them to buy childrens cereal for day 2, the choice of food was very limited - stale bread, muesli and a selection of cheeses. The beds are very small and not comfortable, the arrival area has a drying rack for ski boots which is helpful but they have a number of pets so it smells of dog/cat.

Lovely home and hosts; amazing value; would stay again

Our hosts were extremely welcoming. The breakfast was amazing - home made preserves and cheeses and fresh coffee with rustic breads, cheeses and terrines. If you like being a special guest in someone’s home this is perfect.

Arriving at night was a challenge as sat nav and Google maps took us past the farm track to get to the property. Trust the local signpost not Sat nav!

A well located chalet run by friendly hosts but the building is filthy and the smell is terrible.

The owners were mostly friendly. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were warm. The location was good for the free ski bus that takes you to the Vercland lift. The breakfast was OK but very basic. We asked for pastries for the children and these were supplied from halfway through.

The chalet was not clean. The entrance hall is very small and the smell is awful. It smelt like animal urine that has not been cleaned up. The whole building is very cluttered and very dirty. The bedrooms had a lack of storage. We found animal faeces under the kitchen table.

Bedrooms were good, communal areas need improvement.

The bedrooms were comfy and clean. The evening food and wine was delicious. The hosts were very friendly.

There was a small dog and cat that are allowed to roam the chalet - there was animal hair and a musty smell in the communal areas because of it. There was not enough space to relax in the communal space as there was too much furniture crammed into a small place. The chalet website must use photos from the previous owners. The cleanliness of the entrance area was very poor and the boot room was incredibly cluttered. It’s more of a guest house set-up vs a classic chalet set-up - we felt like visitors in a family home.

Parfait!

We loved our stay at Chalet Esprit. Cristian and Patricia couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was continental and consisted of fresh bread and local meats and cheeses, as well as juice and great coffee and variety of teas. The 4 course dinners were superb! Everyone eats around the same table including the host family, and on the day all 17 guests wanted to eat, the kids had theirs on the sofas playing the Wii -they were very happy with that arrangement!!! The food was home-made and locally sourced, consisting of many local traditional dishes. Cristian is very good at matching up the perfect beverage to go with each meal. Nothing is too much trouble for Cristian and Patricia, who happily catered for pescatarian, vegetarian and gluten free diets whilst we there.

We liked it all, although if you want swanky and slick this isn't the accommodation for you. It is laid back chalet where you are literally a guest in someone's home - if that's not your thing then you may want to opt for a hotel or self catering

10 min walk to he ski lifts. Breakfast was continental, but every morning was different with the focus very much on local produce.

Chalet was warm, bed comfortable, shower good, hot tub good, location about 10 minutes walk from main lift, breakfast ok if you like baguette, jam, cheese, pork and tea/ coffee

Despite how friendly our hosts were, they encouraged us to drink the beer and opened wine without asking, knowing they were going to charge premium bar rates. We would have been ok if they told us or charged a reasonable amount. Also the food on the last day was boiled pork and not great or cheap. Pity as we would have gone back had they not been greedy on the charges and left a bad taste in the mouth.

A unique experience

It was a unique experience! We had dinner with the hosts and the other guests and we really felt as a big family. They made us try local food (deliciously homemade) and wines which we could have never found alone, and we meet a lot of people and exchange stories and traditions. Highly suggested, it's more than a b&b

Nice place for a short stay

Enjoying the swimming pool after a long hike was very nice. The 2 hosts were very nice and kind and their dogs pretty funny !

We took the dinner, the portion was good but we got the main meal it was almost 10pm (when it began at 7.30pm), so it was a very long dinner. The room was next to the dinner/breakfast area, so not the quiet space in the chalet.

A very enjoyable summer stay!

The varied breakfast made from fresh local produce. The hosts Patricia and Christian were very welcoming, helpful, full of suggestions about locations and activities. The table d'hôte was superb and delicious!

Short and sweet. We’ll be back!

Lovely friendly people, happy to share their home with guests and very welcoming. Enjoyed the breakfast, which included good bread, local cheese and ham and homemade jams as well as juice and a good coffee. A great place to stay for a family, especially if you like animals - they have 2 dogs, cats, rabbits and chickens.

Superb

Big and comfy room, nicely decorated, bathroom with a big bath tube. There was also a jacuzzi outside, but we didn't try it cause we didn't have the swimsuits. Hosts were extremely welcoming and attentive. Literally 2 minutes of car from the main ski cabin of Morillon

Difficult to connect from there, both with mobile lines and with the wifi.

Séjour court mais agréable dans une belle région.

Super accueil, très serviable. Petit déjeuner très copieux, avec de la charcuterie et une multitude de fromages. Les merveilles croustillantes suisses étaient une belle découverte. Christian et Patricia ont été de bon conseil pour nous faire découvrir leur arrière pays.

Les nids de poules sur le chemin d’accès mériteraient vraiment d’être rebouchés. Le frigo commun bien qu’utile (médicament) devrait être irréprochable.
