Not treated like a hotel guest. More like a hostel.

Great location. Easy 5 min walk into Morillon or to the Lake.

Lots of extra costs. I was charged extra for sheets, towels, early check in, cleaning..and then a penalty fine for not cleaning the room as thoroughly as they expected (even though I had paid 40 euros a room x 2 rooms for cleaning). This totaled an additional 50% on the price of the room. The costs might look cheap when you book but once you pay all the extras it's not the value for money you thought it would be. I wish we had stayed at the more expensive hotel in Morillon as it would have worked out the same in the end and the facilities would have been better.

Late stay fine is €75! Staff lied to me.

Good location.

The late check charge of 75 euros is effectively theft. I checked out 10:45 unaware of the check out time of 10am. The welcome brochure has the check out time and late check out fine in small print but is not immediately obvious. Whilst they were charging me 75 euro the next morning ,the reception staff lied to me and said that I had been told the check out time and fine at check in. I had not been told. No way I would have checked out late if I knew either piece of information. I understand the need to clean the rooms, and a late check out fee. But both the check out time and the level of fine are unreasonable.

Pleasant and peaceful

Our third time staying here. It’s basic but great for what we need. Staff are always helpful and pleasant, location is good (Morillon is a lovely, peaceful little village). We rent a one-bed apartment with 2 bathrooms. There is a small but adequate kitchen area. We bring our own hand soap, washing up liquid, tea towels as we drive there but this might not suit everyone. I think the hotel can provide these things if you pay extra. Same with the bedding and towels. This is a budget hotel, giving you the opportunity to tailor your stay to your budget. If you want all the extras, you pay for it. If you don’t, they don’t charge you. Works for us and the team there are always lovely. If I had to pick a couple of things the hotel could improve on 1) redecorate the corridors - they are pretty dark and uninviting 2) heat the pool a bit more. It’s advertised as heated but it was cold.

Functional, rudimentary amenities but in a tranquil location, great for a family ski or velo.

A good sized apartment, with kitchen and separate bathrooms each with a bath - what a pleasure that was to use after a long cycle ride. Everything was functional, and I found there was plenty of space. A fantastic location for a family ski holiday and amazing cycling, once the snow has left the high passes. Fairly quiet, but accessible from the autoroute and not being too far from the ski resorts of Flaine, Les Gets & Morzine plus Morillon and Samoens on the doorstep. I was there for the cycling, which I thought was amazingly good, even popping up the Joux Plane and other great climbs nearby.

The hot water was plentiful and always available but scalding hot - dangerously so, I would say. I would be very, very careful letting children near any of the taps, or into a bath before checking the temperature carefully - in fact, for anyone, run cold first then add the almost boiling water to the required temperature. The kitchen area was fine if you can manage with a twin hob and microwave. I would have liked some storage space so that groceries could be put into cupboards instead of having to remain out on the table (I was there for three weeks). I locked myself out of my apartment one evening. It was very hard to find a number to call as there was no obvious out-of-hours contact number displayed in reception nor in the literature. When I did find a number, the lady came quickly and was very polite and pleasant to deal with.

Excellent modern apartment with balcony looking over the complex. Private secure underground free car park. Great selection of walks and also mountain bike trails This apartment is high up the mountain.

The address of the property needs to be clearly defined what to enter in Google maps, as we were unable to find it using what we had entered and ended high up an incorrect single track road. Had to get a local motorcyclist to lead us to the apartment block from about 5km away.

Hidden fees

Location.

This property is masking itself as a hotel but actually a low end hostel. You have to put your own sheets on the bed and then strip the bed AND clean the entire room AND have it checked before your deposit is returned. There is a list of extra fees you could be charged in the room ie . If you don’t take out your own garbage you are charged an additional 20 euros. See picture for all the extras you could be charged. This is just the beginning- I won’t recommend staying here.

Location, price. Property pictures was owerestimated. @ place was not so good all. Beds was bad and I slept badly.

An unpleasant stay and in our opinion, a property to be avoided.

The location suited us - supermarket, chemist, bakery, medical centre, newsagent very close and a big supermarket not very far away Wifi was ok

On arrival , we were abruptly told we had to make our bed and sure enough a pile of linen was on the bed. We were also told that a hold of E300 would be put on our credit card as security. This had not been mentioned when the booking was made. We were also told that we would have to strip the bed on departure, clean the kitchen and take the rubbish out to a bin 100 metres across a muddy car park and be inspected before the hold was removed on the security deposit. Unfortunately, the staff member made a mistake and charged the E300 and we were unable to get this back until we returned to Australia 3 weeks later when our bank sorted it out. Not an issue for us , however if a guest is relying on those funds, the mistake and tardy return of the money, would deny the person access to the funds. The attitude of the staff members made us feel that they were doing us a favour in letting us stay there.

It was great for our family group of 4. No complaints at all. We will stay again.

only stayed 3 nights so suitable but ate out every night, couldn’t stay any longer as the room and kitchen area was so small, you couldn’t prepare or cook anything, the sink was 6 inch wide and 10 inches long and was dangerous as no work surface.

Great location, easy to park

Good location, ski bus stops across the road, v friendly ski hire shop next door offers a discount. Pool good but water was chilly! Boot room and ski storage in the basement. Pizza van across the road who do great pizza! WiFi was great heartily recommend. Really clean, warm, hot water "on tap".

Quite small and not much storage. Work around, used the balcony which was great! No snow but walked into Samoens and caught the ski bus back.

Disappointing

The only public transport from Geneva airport (train to Cluses and then bus) arrives in Morillon in time to reach Grand Massif at 7.05pm but reception closes at 7pm. No exceptions possible apparently so very unhelpfull and expensive for the taxi from Cluses.

Studio in a ski-focussed chalet. Great location in calm village. Nice compact swimming pool but big enough to use and for the kids to get tired in.

Nothing- as long as you realise this is a ski chalet - so no bar, and make your own beds you'll be fine!

Comfortable and everything you need for basic catering. Great view from balcony (wonderful evening sun). Comfortable bed. Short walk to village centre (3 mins). Easy parking. Friendly staff.

The fact we were locked out of our apartment without notice. This is disgraceful. Apparently we hadn't paid a deposit that booking.com said we had! Will NOT stay again

Excellent value Easter holiday family ski trip.

As it was the end of season, the apartment was good value. Basic but comfortable and clean, it had decent beds, good showers, and everything we needed to make simple meals. Staff were welcoming. Pool is nice. Morillon is a little place - everything you need is close.

The location is really nice and accessible.

Friendliness during the check out was a bit missing. No goodbye or even asked if we liked our trip. You have to bring your own blanket , towels and pillows otherwise you'll be charged. The cleaning rules are not very clear prior to booking. Breakfast doesn't worth 10 euro.
