We loved meeting Annamaria and her husband. We didn't know we would be staying in their own apartment with them, but that was a nice touch. They arranged to take our laundry to a laundromat and Annamaria dried it on their roof terrace so we got it back within the day. Both days Annamaria asked us what time we would like breakfast, and offered to cook us eggs but we went with simple: cappuccino, yogurt, and bread with jam. The view from the room is beautiful, and the street is quiet even though it is close to the city center. I am including pictures from the bedroom windows at night and in the morning. It was wonderful to talk to Annamaria and practice Italian.
The room didn't exactly have a balcony--it was a wide window with flowerboxes. I think the house had a balcony, and maybe we had a key to the roof terrace, but it wasn't clear where these were and if we had access to them. We had access to a nice, big bathroom, but it was down the hall from our room and that hall was very dark at night. There isn't an elevator, so it's two flights upstairs, which was a little tough after walking from the train station. It was a wonderful stay and a wonderful experience regardless, but we wanted to mention these things so people are aware
