Very picturesque & ideal for a quiet, relaxing break

The property was beautiful in a stunning location.

The only slight downfall of the property was the sofa as it’s rather uncomfortable, however, after a long day walking on the many accessible routes, you’ll soon be fast asleep. Fantastic location which we’ll be booking again. A tv in the bedroom would also be a great addition!

Overall very enjoyable and comfortable

The log cabin was stunning and very cozy and comfortable if a little small , a TV and a small table would have been good..but overall it was very nice.

The only downside was the location. It's in the middle of nowhere and the drive up could certainly do with some improvement. Very rough and full of potholes not good for some smaller cars.

Stunning log cabin , peaceful and serene so could totally switch off from busy life .

Had to drive everywhere wanted to go but can’t have peace and quiet and be in busy village so we kinda expected this .

Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing.

We loved our stay in the cosy log cabin. Cabin it's self is beautiful with plenty of equipment. We loved having the log fire. During our stay in the evening it was torrential rain and thunderstorms but the cabin was lovely and warm. It is so quiet and peaceful with views across the country side. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Kingfisher cabin

The kingfisher cabin was such a lovely place to stay! Everything was so clean, tidy and well thought out. The hosts left some lovely treats for us and made sure to check in with us on arrival to make sure all was ok! Nothing to fault really, lovely to be looking out on the water, nice and spacious for the 4 of us, we would love to come and stay again 😊

Lovely secluded weekend trip away!!!

The farm was beautiful and land well kept. Locals lovely and hosts great help when needed!! We stayed for our birthdays and they even gifted us balloons and a bottle of bubbles. Lovely touch! Will return

Nothing as of dislike per say but it the cosy cabin was very small for our liking but it was comfy. I think they could have a tv in the bedroom area, maybe on the wall on extendable bracket but otherwise 10/10.. will return on next trip :)

Delightful and at one with nature

The views from the balcony the layout in the house was lovely, bed and sofa was very comfy. Lodge came with Netflix with an open account to watch films. Also already had washing up liquid, tea towel, towels, salt & pepper, sponge which was very helpful.

When we arrived there was a wasp nest in the wall on the balcony which made it hard to go and enjoy the balcony views but this was dealt with.

Beautiful place

We stayed in Kingfisher cabin for 2 nights, it was in a beautiful setting and we loved sitting on the decking with the view of the lake. Everything was spotlessly clean and the furnishings were of a really high standard. We thought the log burner was a nice touch.

We liked everything, but felt the check in time (4pm) was quite late.

Our stay at this charming log cabin in the Lake District was nothing short of perfect. Nestled in a peaceful and scenic location, it offered the ideal retreat for relaxation and adventure alike. The cabin itself was beautifully maintained, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the little cat, Katie was there to greet us every morning. The location was fantastic—secluded enough to feel like an escape, yet close enough to local attractions, picturesque walking trails, and charming villages. Waking up to stunning views and enjoying peaceful evenings by the fire made our stay lovely. If you're looking for a place that combines comfort, convenience, and the beauty of nature, this log cabin is an absolute gem I only wish we could have stayed longer. We can't wait to return!

Stunning rural escape

The location is stunning, the cabin is beautifully put together, has everything you need for some peace and quiet. The views are amazing. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

No option for late check out, and for the cost striping the bed etc. Not a deal breaker though, I would stay again.

First time visiting..... Won't be the last. Relax and unwind in this peaceful location

We loved how it was really well maintained. How the twinkle lights created a lovely atmosphere inside. There's a small radiator in the kitchen and bathroom so it was warm and has valves to adjust where needed, but if you needed more heat, the log burning stove with the small oven throws plenty of heat and is easy to use

Amazing cabin with even better views. Very clean and tidy and everything you need for a great stay. wifi a big plus and the bed was very comfortable. After a day of climbing Scafell Pike it was nice to go back and relax with the log burn on enjoying a well deserved drink (or five 😜)

The location and cabin were incredible. Our hosts went out of their way to help us. We had an incident where the tire of our rental car blew out leaving us without access to a shop and no food in the cabin. They kindly provided us with a lasagne from their freezer which genuinely saved the evening for us.
