The location is incredible.
My first night there the water went out and no one knew what happened or why. In fact no one knew what to do and they just left it.
Then I had to change rooms because my booking was split up to two. It the second room was a massive downgrade. A downgrade that was not clearly communicated.
My booking was also breakfast inclusive. However, the hotel failed to tell me that the restaurant is closed for New Year’s Day. And they failed to provide an alternative.
This happened again when the hotel also failed to inform me that the roads will be completely closed on my last day there. And when I asked if they had arranged for the hotel guests to be able to move in and out of the property, no one had an answer either. Eventually I had to check out at 5 am to avoid the closure of roads and was still stuck for a bit either way.
Resulting in a wasted night stay, rushed exit, and another missed breakfast that was paid for.

I tried several times to phone the reception, but they didnt pick up. When I showed up in person and ask them about it, they just shrugged it off, saying the phone did not ring.

Our key reader to the room stopped working 15 minutes after checking in. At 16:20 we reported this. The staff called maintenance to change the batteries. We waited until 18:30 before bending able to get back into our room where all of our personal belongings were inside. We had plans with friends at 17:00 but could not leave. My handbag was inside the room.

The apartment was lovely, romantic touch and clean, however the sparkling wine was luke warm and I would have preferred champagne flutes than big white wine glasses.
The pool was very dirty and once we sat down the next morning for our breakfast at the Bougainvillea restaurant, the waitress, nor the staff was very helpful to get us our voucher pin for the breakfast which we paid when we booked. We waited a very long time for our breakfast to arrive and we were only 3 couples in the restaurant. The breakfast however was superb!

The location, parking and easy access suited my needs. The staff were polite, professional and welcoming. It's a good find with restaurants, coffee shops and woolworths all within walking distance. Would stay there again. Good view even from the back room.

The gentleman at reception was friendly and very efficient. He explained how all the access worked and all the facilities at the venue.
The shower water temperature was really low throughout my stay. The lady at reception said it was because the hotel was at full capacity. It was disappointing the barely warm showers.

The place was beautiful and neat. Fully kitted kitchen. But I would've loved more coffee sachets for at least the mornings.
We had cold water our whole stay and when we complained we were told that it is what it is. Every night and every morning we showered cold. Was very disappointed!

I didn't like how rowdy the room opposite me was. Music was loud and talking really loud and someone kept knocking on the door which was very irritating.

Close proximity to stadium and attractions like the waterfront and town.
Evacuation alarm set off accidently in the middle of the night and it took ages to switch off so that we coud go back to bed and sleep.

All was good except the fire alarm that was accidentally / deliberately activated at approximately 04H00AM and the reception staff had no idea on how to reset the system. Face recognition system also did not work...

Location was excellent... Breakfast was good, had our order a bit wrong, probably because they were very busy - kitchen was a bit slow but worth the wait. Restaurant staff was very friendly.

We had a fire alarm that went off at 8am Sunday morning - no one communicated that it was just a false alarm - would have liked a bit more communication on something that serious. Check out staff could be a bit more friendly.

It was in a nice area and the staff is friendly.
The place runs out of hot water. We showered with cold water on the night we checked in and the morning we checked out. When we asked the staff about it, we were told it is the system that the hotel uses. How can such a hotel not have an alternative to solar geysers? How do you depend on solar energy in a place like Cape Town where the weather is always rainy and cold in winter season? Please make it make sense? Showering with cold water in winter is inhumane, especially when you paid the full amount.
