Location and friendly staff

Our key reader to the room stopped working 15 minutes after checking in. At 16:20 we reported this. The staff called maintenance to change the batteries. We waited until 18:30 before bending able to get back into our room where all of our personal belongings were inside. We had plans with friends at 17:00 but could not leave. My handbag was inside the room.

Pointbreak Apart hotel xouple stay

The apartment was lovely, romantic touch and clean, however the sparkling wine was luke warm and I would have preferred champagne flutes than big white wine glasses.

The pool was very dirty and once we sat down the next morning for our breakfast at the Bougainvillea restaurant, the waitress, nor the staff was very helpful to get us our voucher pin for the breakfast which we paid when we booked. We waited a very long time for our breakfast to arrive and we were only 3 couples in the restaurant. The breakfast however was superb!

It was smaller than expected. The bathroom has a horrible sewerage smell, all the time. Theres barely a balcony at the apartment The pool is infront of the street, outside the restaurant so that very uncomfortable.

Definitely worth another stay

The location, parking and easy access suited my needs. The staff were polite, professional and welcoming. It's a good find with restaurants, coffee shops and woolworths all within walking distance. Would stay there again. Good view even from the back room.

I had a lovely stay, the location is convenient and easily accessible.

The gentleman at reception was friendly and very efficient. He explained how all the access worked and all the facilities at the venue.

The shower water temperature was really low throughout my stay. The lady at reception said it was because the hotel was at full capacity. It was disappointing the barely warm showers.

Beautiful place but quite disappointed.

The place was beautiful and neat. Fully kitted kitchen. But I would've loved more coffee sachets for at least the mornings.

We had cold water our whole stay and when we complained we were told that it is what it is. Every night and every morning we showered cold. Was very disappointed!

Very clean room and neat I like the peace and quiet in my room The view of theountain was everything I would definitely be back, the only thing missing is a spa

I didn't like how rowdy the room opposite me was. Music was loud and talking really loud and someone kept knocking on the door which was very irritating.

All was good except the fire alarm that was accidentally / deliberately activated at approximately 04H00AM and the reception staff had no idea on how to reset the system. Face recognition system also did not work...

Location was excellent... Breakfast was good, had our order a bit wrong, probably because they were very busy - kitchen was a bit slow but worth the wait. Restaurant staff was very friendly.

Our fridge's water dispenser did not worked - so atleast put bottled water in the unit then. Unit 303 We had a fire alarm that went off at 8am Sunday morning - no one communicated that it was just a false alarm - would have liked a bit more communication on something that serious. Check out staff could be a bit more friendly.

Horrible due to being forced to shower with cold water in winter.

It was in a nice area and the staff is friendly.

The place runs out of hot water. We showered with cold water on the night we checked in and the morning we checked out. When we asked the staff about it, we were told it is the system that the hotel uses. How can such a hotel not have an alternative to solar geysers? How do you depend on solar energy in a place like Cape Town where the weather is always rainy and cold in winter season? Please make it make sense? Showering with cold water in winter is inhumane, especially when you paid the full amount.

No Peace

Clean and well located.

Noisy neighbours daily from the afternoon into the early hours of the morning. Cold shower water. Situated along a busy main road with cars racing in the early hours of the morning. Windows aren’t thick enough to block out the noise. Smell of weed throughout the building.

Ok, nothing to write home about

The room wasn't ready, and we checked in well after the earliest check-in time. Housekeeping hadn't put the pillowcases on, put a bin liner in, left dishwashing liquid and I forget the other thing. They kept coming to knock to to these additional things.

good stay … but be aware of room location

location, furnishings and concept is excellent. given my trip was for business facing the mountain side rather than the main road made all the difference. also being away from the pool area was good. great shower and all amenities catered for

on a Saturday there tends to be a young crowd who are maximising capacity of rooms to party and thus noisy. if my room was facing the main road above the pool- I would be writing a different review. I’d encourage a recycling policy in the rooms and to have the lifts activated by secure key cards ( system exists but not in use)

Enjoyed every bit of it

The positive energy, and friendly atmosphere at the front desk made us feel at home. The lighting in our apartment 💯 . Perfect for pictures. The location too, walkable distance if you want to grab some eggs and milk at spar.
