Def not worth the money but a good location

the location was good in terms of proximity to all

It was very, very small for the price they were charging and should not be let to more than 2 adults. The top bunk in the second room is so close to the ceiling that you would need to be 8 years old to get in or even on it. There are so many units crammed into one small area, we felt very invaded by other people. The owners are always milling about, so there is absolutely no privacy abnd was extremely unrelaxing. The first two nights, there were people stomping upstairs till. ery late and from very early in the morning I will def not book here again

Lovely spot to stay when visiting friends / family in Kommetjie.

The hosts Antoinette and Charl are wonderful people and made us feel entirely at home. We had a great stay and will gladly book the property again next time we come to Kommetjie.

Wonderful stay at the Storyhouse thanks to amazing host and very pretty house and garden !

Breakfast was excellent, a lot of variety of food and drinks, the terrasse and garden are very pretty, with a tiny pool. It is very green and very well decorated. A lot of charm, very quiet, just 200m to the beach, 5-7 min walking to the tiny village and restaurant. We strongly recommend the Green house for lunch and diner and Soul Space for yoga sessions. We also received a very warm welcome from Antoinette and Charles ☺️ a huge thank you for this wonderful stay !

The view is fantastic. From our window and veranda, we could see the beach and across the bay to Hout Bay. The location is wonderful.

The steps to the top room are steep and narrow. Older guests will have to be careful.

Memorable stay in Kommetjie

Storyhouse was in a great location with a beautiful view. The apartment was the perfect size for my fiancé and I. We loved the big windows that allowed us to see the gorgeous view and bird life that was attracted by the flowers in bloom. The complimentary coffee and rusks were absolutely delicious! Thank you for a memorable stay 🤗🌸

Lovely hosts who were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. I proposed to my girlfriend while visiting Kommetjie and Antoinette & Charl helped me to arrange it with a picnic basket. It was amazing! I'd definitely recommend Storehouse to anyone wanting to visit the Cape Peninsula.

Nothing really. There was a problem with the lockbox when we were leaving in which we needed to drop the keys, but Charl was quick to be available to help and suggest a solution.

the hosts are friendly and very helpful. the accommodation is comfortable. the location is close to the beach, and there are nice views

small things - not criticisms but suggestions: since there are paying customers i would get a better mattress. there are mosquitoes at night so if one person is jumping around chasing mosquitoes this wakes up the other person. there are mattresses that are much better in general if one person is moving around so the other person doesnt get bounced around as well. an actual bar of soap in the bathroom would help - had to buy one. the shower could definitely be improved. paper towels or serviettes in the kitchen would also be very helpful. overall the place remains comfortable and the hosts welcoming.

We loved all the little details in the garden and the friendly dogs and the pool. - Noah (9 years) I loved everything. I also loved the fish in the fishpond - Ava (7 years) Antoinette and Charl were amazing hosts. Their place is so unique, with so much character, perfectly situated. We loved our daily walks to the beach. Can't wait to return one day.
