Family friendly home from home pleasant stay.

Everything! We loved our stay at ‘Reindeer Cottage’ Has everything you need for a very pleasant stay. The host Janica is very kind, and shared local knowledge. Family friendly, our kids are 5 and 6 and loved sledging outside and forest walks with snow all around. Outside hot tub with northern lights above

The apartment was cosy, clean and warm. Excellent for a walk in the forest. Not in the centre of Rovaniemi but close by car to the main attractions (Santa Claus Village, reindeer farm, Articum museum). Excellent quality/price ratio. The host Janica was super nice and helpful, always available, answering immediately to questions and requests.

Perfect Accomodation and Owner

Perfect place! But let’s start from the beginning… When I was looking for an accommodation in Rovaniemi I had 2 apartments to choose. One with weak responsiveness of the host (according to reviews) and one with a great attention. I have decided for the 2nd one - Reindeer Route Apartment and it was the best choice. Janica - the owner - was indeed very helpful and available for any questions. She recommended the competitive companies offering the tours (cheaper than those on Trip Advisor or Get a Guide. The apartment itself was great. In fact this was a 2 level house with 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor (4 persons) and one sofa in the living room. Nice kitchen with all the dishes. Lovely quiet accommodation, perfect for families.

The host gave thorough information prior to our arrival. Everything was as we expected (based on the photos). Accommodation was clean, kitchen had all the essentials and more. Bedrooms were spacious and the living room / dining room were cozy. The neighbourhood is residential and quiet, not walking distance but as we had our car then that was not a problem for us. We would recommend it and would stay there again.

The location is an appartement attached to a house. It was very nicely decorated and had everything you could need for a very nice stay! We would have loved to stay longer.

A true fairytale house

We honestly loved everything about this place. The apartment is located in a fabulous residential area, and we often walked home from the center of Rovaniemi just to see the snowy landscapes. The area is however served by buses, taxis, and the house has a parking area for guests; a few minutes' walk away is a well-stocked supermarket and a pizzeria; you can use food delivery services to dine. The apartment is located inside a large two-story wooden house, with the entrance on the left side in front of a wooden staircase. Pay attention to the entrance door: to close it, just push it without turning the key afterwards. From here you enter a corridor that serves as a cloakroom. The back garden is very nice, during our visit it was covered in snow and we didn't use it much. The apartment is big, spotlessly clean, bright and a sense of care in every detail shines through (for example, in the kitchen there is already everything you need to have breakfast). The bathroom is spacious and completely modernized, and the soap was already present. We are not sure there was a washing machine because we did not use it. The living room is very comfortable, welcoming and allows 4-6 people to eat and relax peacefully. The two bedrooms (with three beds each) are located upstairs and are stunning - personally the log cabin style with the low ceiling is my favourite. Sheets and blankets are provided by the owners and we never suffered from the cold at night, even though the temperature dropped below -20°C.

our stay at reindeer route apartment was lovely. the location was great, quiet area. we rented a car and had parking on the drive. the city was only 10mins drive away which was great. apartment was clean and warm, decent size bedrooms for myself and my family. we would recommend this apartment for anyone who plans to visit rovaniemi.

the entrance door at front and back, were very hard to lock. the owner was very helpful with sorting this problem.

Paikka oli siisti ja viihtyisä. Palju oli aivan mahtava ja laitettu valmiiksi tilauksesta, mitään ei tarvinnut itse tehdä. Erityis plussaa oli että koirasta ei mennyt lisämaksua. Varmasti varaamme uudelleen kun olemme Rovaniemellä.

Portaat oli vähän pelottavat mutta 5 vuotias, koira ja näkövammainen liikkuivat niissä silti hyvin.

Una casa muy bonita . Muy bien ubicada en un lugar tranquilo con casas alrededor. Hay un lago cerca muy bonito . Ideal para ir a Rovaniemi . La casa cómoda y funcional. Tenía de todo para la cocina. Muy bien . Volvería.

Lo único que no nos ha gustado es que las camas son un poco pequeñas y que no hay lavadora. Lo demás todo bien.
