Perfect

Welcomed upon arrival by Yannis and his wife and given a wonderful in-site to the house and Rovaniemi. Some beautiful home made pastries by his wife and plenty of choice for breakfast. Beds were super comfy and the property was very clean and well looked after. Shop only a few minutes walk from the property so very handy. Could not fault anything had an amazing time!

Beautiful old original Sami building steeped in history the meeting guy Jannis was very warm and welcoming thanks Jannis

When we were 46 minutes late than the agreed time the host got very rude on the phone telling us that finish people are law abiding people and respect rules we were driving 200k in weather we were not used too and it sounded like we were criminals for this after paying 350 euro for one night

Family stay

There are no words to describe the incredible time we had in the Traditional House in Rovaniemi. Everything was perfect, the house is very cosy and well equipped (including sauna). Jannis, the host one of a kind, made our stay the best possible. House is located ca 100m from bus stops (to Santa Village and city centre).

Perfect Location, amazing Host

The property was perfect. Everything we need for our short trip. Kids loved that there was a garden to play in the snow. Conveniently located near the airport, Santa Claus village and the main town. Host was wonderful and very helpful. Pastries his wife made were amazing and greeted us with such warmth and kindness. Have already recommended to friends and family

A lifetime unforgettable memory!

I cannot recommend this place enough. It feels like whatever I say, it won't be enough. From the moment we met Jannis to the moment we went to the airport to leave Rovaniemi, he did everything to make us feel comfortable and cozy. He did much more than you'd expect a normal host to do. He played with my kids, showed them different things, advised us, and helped us with transport. The house, the environment, Jannis - they all shout "Christmas." This man has a mission - to make children happy and to keep the belief in Christmas for as long as possible. His big heart will make your stay unforgettable and a lifetime experience. For us, it was just one booking, but now I feel like we've met a friend for life. Thank you, Jannis, for all the joy and happiness that you brought to our family by making our stay in Rovaniemi so magical and unforgettable.

Feeling home (very) far from home ❤️

This traditional finnish house with its garden, set in a quiet and neat neighborhood, at 5 minutes drive from downtown Rovaniemi, is a real beauty. The building is old but very well kept, and made comfy and practical as far as the structure allows. Rooms are large and niclely decorated (although old style), cleanliness is far above finnish standards, and a modern heating plant makes it easy to adjust each room to your personal comfort. Amd now the best part: Ioannis is the most welcoming, friendly and careful host you can ever meet. He loves to take care of his guests, and is happy to do and say whatever can make you feel welcomed. He stocked the house with plenty of all sorts of food (allowing us to have 2 full breakfasts and a lunch at home), we is ready to tell you everything about history, traditions, locations, but in a discrete and respectful way. Communications with Ioannis are a pleasure, and he can reach you, if needed, in no time. We had a wonderful time, and will come here again, if we can ❤️

Comfortable stay

Meet by John at check in who showed us around the house , lots of nice local treats left for us plus milk , eggs , juices , bread ect, which was nice . Good location to explore the area with a car, we had two cars and off street parking was great, good communication before and during stay . The house was older and a little quirky but comfortable with plenty of room for 2 couples .

Didn’t like that the shower was down in the sauna room and the hot water was very hit and miss . No frying pan in the kitchen .

Great place to stay

Friendly owner with passion. Great location. At the same time village-like and conveniently situated in the way from city center to Santa's village. Same bus 8 gets you also to the train station. Wood heated sauna is fun. House is old but rather clean and well maintained. Don't expect luxury, but basic needs are covered. And breakfast set is more than for just one breakfast. Thanks!

Shower is the most tricky part. It is located in sauna and it was not easy to get the temperature right. It was either too hot or bit too cold. But bit too cold was manageable with heated sauna, so not a big issue.

Obiekt pięknie zlokalizowany pośród Fińskich domków :) okolica idealna na spacer w zimowej aurze. Możliwość skorzystania z sauny, a następnie z kąpieli w śniegu, była bardzo ciekawym doświadczeniem. Gospodarz bardzo sympatyczny i elastyczny.

Casa tradizionale Sami meravigliosa, ogni dettaglio è perfetto. Spaziosa, bella, abbondante colazione, stanze ben organizzate, sauna interna e meraviglioso spazio esterno. Jannis è stato davvero super! Ci ha spiegato la casa, le tradizioni finlandesi, ci ha dato supporto in tutto ed è stato estremamente gentile e disponibile. Super consigliata!!!!

Oltre alle aspettative

La casa è stata un alloggio ben oltre le nostre aspettative: sembrava davvero di vivere dentro una favola. Ho adorato le grandi finestre presenti in ogni stanza, perfette per ammirare gli alberi e il panorama in qualsiasi momento, di giorno o di notte. I miei bambini si sono divertiti tantissimo ogni mattina nel cortile, e Ioannis è stato gentilissimo: ci ha portato persino due slitte per farli giocare nella neve. Tutto è stato curato nei minimi dettagli, compreso il trovare Netflix già impostato in italiano. Un’altra cosa che ci ha colpiti è stato il frigo: pieno di tutto ciò che serve per una colazione perfetta — latte, prosciutto, salame, toast, frutta, snack e una selezione di porridge. La posizione è ideale: circa 10 minuti da tutto — aeroporto, centro città e Villaggio di Babbo Natale. Siamo stati così bene che penso proprio torneremo il prossimo anno.

Merveilleux séjour chez Jannis. Jannis aime sa maison et prend le temps de nous expliquer, de façon très intéressante, l'histoire de la maison. La maison traditionnelle est pleine de charme et d'authenticité, sans lésiner sur le confort moderne. Le petit déjeuner est formidable. Nous recommandons à 100% !

All’arrivo abbiamo trovato ad accoglierci il proprietario, una persona veramente gentilissima e super disponibile, nonostante non ci conoscesse! Abbiamo trovato un frigo pieno di cose da mangiare, nonostante dovessimo soggiornare solo per una notte! Tutto veramente perfetto! Semplicemente bellissimo

Splendida casetta tipica insita nel verde a 5 minuti di macchina dal centro di rovaniemi. Pulita, confortevole ed avente tutto ciò che serve per un confortevole soggiorno. L'host jannis è semplicemente una persona meravigliosa... ti accoglie col sorriso, ti spiega la storia dell'abitazione ed è sempre a disposizione per qualsiasi cosa... inoltre ti fa trovare la tavola ed il frigo pieni di cibo tradizionale per la colazione. La consiglio a tutti, in particolar modo a famiglie con bimbi come noi.Ti senti veramente come a casa

Casa bella, super accessoriata, host gentilissimo, accogliente e disponibile. Ci ha fatto trovare il frigo pieno e tutto il necessario per la colazione, tantissime cose. La sauna meravigliosa Posizione ottima anche per vedere l’ aurora boreale che abbiamo visto proprio dalla strada di casa

Rapport qualité prix vraiment très bon.

Situation géographique idéale, à proximité d’un arrêt de bus pour le centre-ville et pour le village du Père Noël. Très calme, avec un hôte exceptionnel, gentil et à l’écoute, il avait rempli le frigo à notre arrivée!

La salle de bain est rudimentaire, simplement une douche dans le sauna donc obligatoire de chauffer au bois pour aller se laver, sinon tout est parfait.
