Great stay for Brecon beacons

Good location, parking, nice sized house, and plenty of equipment in the kitchen to sort out food. The host was also able to get the house ready for us well before our early arrival estimate in the afternoon.

Beds/pillows could be better - but not bad. Main issue was that the detergent used caused one of my friends to be itchy during the night.

Lovely cottage, with all amenities in a great location. Would stay again

The cottage is lovely. Elaine the owner is really helpful and responsive to queries. Everything was provided including plenty of milk. My daughter said the bed was so comfy she didn't want to get up. Excellent base for local walks, local pubs and Zipworld. Would definitely stay again

The property was clean, welcoming , tidy and extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Really enjoyed our morning drink in the conservatory listening to the river flow by The area was great, welcoming did lots of walking and exploring local waterfalls. We visited 2 local pubs & also managed to get corn cake from a local baker and cake box which was very needed after lots of walking. Would definitely return

Great space near the waterfalls

The house was pristine, rooms well equipped and comfortable. The kitchen was a lovely space for lots of people- we were able to invite others for a cup of tea before our event, which was great.

The kitchen organisation could have been easier, I did a lot of steps between the kettle, teaspoons, bread board, bread knife and toaster.

Fabulous house close to nature trails and national park.

The place was spotlessly clean, and the host was exceptional. She has thought of everything you might need on arrival and has made sure they were there, including milk, cereals and some Welsh cakes. The place is well stocked with essentials for everyday living, including soaps, tea and coffee, along with a host of little extras. I have stayed in many houses over the years, but never experienced the thoughtfulness of a host like Elaine. Renting this place really made the weekend very special, and I commend it to anyone looking for a well stocked, comfortable family home. We shall certainly be returning.

The river ran passed at the bottom of the garden; We were able to park outside; The conservatory and separate living space offered members of the group different spaces to have their own quiet time or socialise with each other and the kitchen facilities were brilliant.

As a group of 6, we found it challenging to share only 1 toilet. A separate toilet downstairs would’ve made it 10/10.

Great location

Property was presented exactly as on the pictures, it smelled of cleanliness and was in perfect location. It is right at the heart of waterfalls walking trails. One path (Elidir trail) starts just 5 minutes walk from the property. Moreover, there are 3 well presented and cosy pubs/restaurants with very friendly staff within walking distance. The owner left us a jug of milk, ground coffee, and some bits for breakfast. Absolutely amazing! Lastly, the property was well presented with absolutely everything we needed for the stay. I will definitely recommend this property as a base for exploring the local area. Just to note, there is no shop within walking distance, but we were well prepared.

Met our needs for an overnight stay perfectly

We took our own breakfast. Had good meals at our hostess's recommendatiion at the Old White Horse and The Angel. Ideal location for the Waterfalls and also to visit Dan-yr-Ogof.

The bathroom was not perfectly clean, but the hostess is looking into that.

Fun, lots of beautiful walks. Family time.

Lovely spot next to the river Quiet and comfortable with multiple spaces to hang out with family

Not as straightforward for an adult family ( eg 3 adult couples ) than for a group with kids as the two single beds are in separate rooms However we were easily able to convert the front room into a bedroom for 1 of our couples and still had the sun room as a sitting room.

Good location and nice conservatory. Lovely house.

The house was too small for 7 persons. One bedroom 1 double bed and 2 single beds were put in. It was too crowded and we could not walk without passing on top of each other and could not use wardrobe. Also as soon as you opened doors and windows all sorts of insects and mosquitos fly in. Only one bathroom on top floor.

Lovely house in a great location. Well equipped with everything in the kitchen needed. A welcome basket was given with teabags sugar coffee and a few snacks for the children to enjoy. All bedding and towels were supplied so no need to bring your own. Very handy washing machine and tumble dryer- Great for after those muddy walks.

Location was perfect for us, as we had done the 4 waterfalls walk earlier in the day. We had plenty of communication with the host. When we arrived at the property Elaine had left us a nice little welcome hamper. The property was love and perfect for us as a family. We also had a lovely meal at the local pub. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will definitely go back again.

The fact that we only stayed for the one night. Would definitely stay a bit longer next time. Other than that I couldn't fault it.

Beautiful Breacon Beacons break

Perfect location for exploring the Brecon Beacons national park and close to the waterfalls. Excellent facilities - everything you need for a self-catering holiday. Host was available if needed but not intrusive. A river on one side and quiet neighbours on the other. Three pubs and a restaurant in five minutes walk. Excellent local pizza delivery when you need it. Can sit to eat in the back garden looking over the river when it stops raining, or in the conservatory if it doesn't. Nice gift basket on arriving including the essential milk, tea and coffee. .

Very little to complain about. The bedroom curtains could block out more light in the morning but the beds were lovely and comfortable.
