Granary Cottage Luxury Barn Conversion

The advert doesn’t give this property enough credit. Located in a beautiful village and tastefully decorated throughout. Immaculately clean. The living room is large enough for a family with plenty of games for entertainment with a large flat screen TV and satellite channels. We stayed in the summer but there is fire for those colder times of the year. The kitchen is well stocked with every utensil you could think of. The kitchen appliances are high end quality and appear to be new and like everything else at the property, immaculately clean. The kitchen cupboards were also stocked with essentials such as dried herbs, condiments, foil, kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets etc… Communication with the booking team is seamless and the given directions take you right up to the door. I would be surprised if anyone found anything to complain about when visiting this property. We were in the area for a family wedding and it was perfect for our needs. We hope to stay at the location in the near future for a short break.

The beds were very comfortable.

There were ants all over the kitchen, which was very annoying to prepare food or to keep food safe as there was not much storage room available. There was a leak in the ceiling sending water from the upstairs bathroom into the dining room. The towels smelled moldy. There was no equipment for toddlers such as a baby bed or a baby chair which was a nuisance since we travelled with our two children aged 1 and 3. The radiator in the bathrooms could not be turned off and was extremely hot, causing a burn on one of our children's hands after touching it. In the front yard, there was dog poo from neighbors. Some light bulbs weren't working. There were no mosquito screens in front of the window and the house was surrounded by bees. The lady of the house had issued a large amount of house rules which didn't at all feel very welcoming. All bedlinen had to be pulled off and all edibles removed before check-out. Overall, we were relieved to go home.
