We loved this house.

We really enjoyed our 15 day stay at Camside. Pros: - Nice house - Nice garden - Clean (but dusty) - Washing machine worked well - Two full bathrooms - 1 half bathroom on ground floor - Good beds - Good pillows - .3 miles from the shops and restaurants - Easy street parking (driveway too small and difficult to get into in an SUV) - TV with lots of channels to watch - Comfortable seating in living room - Wood burning stove with wood supplied - Good heating in each room (although you have to turn each radiator on manually which we did not know and it was chilly. This wasn’t explained and we Americans are not used to radiators. My English friends came to visit and showed us.) Cons: - Dusty when we arrived (only a problem if you have allergies) - Steep stairs (for those with mobility issues) - Told to put out all the garbage bins (6?) when 95% of the rubbish wasn’t ours (we ate out every meal). Then bring in all the bins next day. There were 3 of us, me with mobility issues and need a walker to walk, and 2 people in their 80s with some dementia. We were not told this before renting this house. - Spiders and bugs coming into bedroom through the French doors (needs to be better sealed) - Only one bath towel and hand towel per person. We were there 9 days before getting replacements. Could not wash them ourselves because it would have taken at least 5 days for them to dry on drying rack. It took 2 full days to dry a Tshirt as an example. And that was with the drying rack next to a radiator in the living room. Weather too changeable to risk hanging anything outside. - House cleaner came on Day 9 but did not vacuum.

Very nice property in a superb location

Close location to village centre. Lovely big kitchen with dishwasher. Very quiet

Settee was a little worn and one of the twin beds needs a replacement mattress but not a big problem for us.

Great stay, good value

Location of the property was great in terms of walking into the village to the shops or restaurants. Photos were as per the website and the host was extremely communicative and helpful.

General cleanliness. A lot of dust and cobwebs. Only 2 chairs with the outside table. As it was hot we spent a lot of time outside. Not enough seating for 4. Plus the metal chairs got extremely hot.

We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay and hope to return someday.

The property was fabulous! The location was perfect for us, and the amenities were just to our liking. The place was spotless, the host was very easy to communicate with, the village and people were lovely. I recommend this very highly and hope to stay here again someday.

Perhaps some window screens to keep out the flies.

Nice Stay

We were very happy with the property. Great location, short 5-minute walk to town, quiet, spacious home, private garden, a very nice fully equiped kitchen and prep area, large dining table, TV room and a downstairs half bath with washer. Ed our host made sure we had coffee and milk for our morning coffee and was very responsive via WhatsApp to any questions we had.

A few things to note: The ceilings are low which is indicative of a cottage home of this period. If you are a tall person, over 6-feet you will need to watch your head under beams & door jams and in the downstairs kitchen area where the ceiling height is 6'6" high. Also, there is a lot of light incursion in the bedrooms (skylight and unlined curtains) so bring a sleeping mask if you do not want to get up with the sun. On a nice sunny day (a good thing) the upstairs bedrooms heat up and run warm so, if you feel comfortable seeping with the windows open (no screens) then this will not be an issue.

Beautiful tasteful Cotswold house only a 5 minute walk to the centre. Well equipped kitchen. Small garden with lots of sun.

The driveway was a little narrow. We parked on the road around the corner instead which worked fine.

Super and comfortable cottage for a stay in the North Cotswolds

Spacious accommodation including separate lounge and huge dining table; very well-equipped kitchen, attractive garden; plenty of hanging space in bedroom. Easy to find and to enter using code; solicitous hosts, though we didn't meet them. Peaceful, quiet location, convenient for the village centre (and its many good places to eat), the scenic North Cotswolds, many local hiking routes, pretty local villages and splendid National Trust properties/gardens. Heating controls (Nest and TRVs) were sensitive and effective.

Some members of the party thought the beds were a little soft; the others did not, so this is clearly subjective.

Very relaxing home in a great location

Excellent location in the gorgeous and friendly village of Chipping Campden. There are so many nice pubs, restaurants, cafes and little shops and fantastic walks to nearby villages. The home is spacious and nicely decorated with a well equipped kitchen.

The garden could do with a bit of TLC and I needed to buy cloths to clean the surfaces in the kitchen. But otherwise, everything was great.

Fabulous long weekend

Camside was everything we had been promised - warm & cozy - very clean - very comfortable - looked exactly as in the pictures on the site - truly a few minute walk into the village. We were kept updated by Ed ahead of our travels - recommendations for spots to eat very helpful - access code worked really well

Although there is space for parking on site - it was a tight squeeze to manoeuvre from the road so we parked on the street outside

Spotless, eco-friendly family home, ideal for longer stays

The whole house is spotless throughout. The bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch. The two double bedrooms and one single bedroom easily accommodate five people. We weren't self catering but we noted the kitchen was well-equipped with modern appliances. If you are not planning to cook, it is only a short walk to the restaurants of central Chipping Campden. We had only booked for one night, but could easily imagine spending a pleasant week here.

Though the host was very good at keeping in touch via text and email before, during and after our stay, it seemed weird not to meet with a physical person connected with the house at any time.

Delightful stay in Chipping Camden

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay thank you . The apartment is very attractively furnished and the facilities are wonderful. Also the location of the apartment perfect: close enough to easily walk into the town but away from the noise of the main street. The only less than perfect issue for us was that we are very light sleepers and the main bedroom does not have blackout curtains so the morning light awakened us.

Wonderful bolt hole for a Campden escape to the country!

A beautiful cottage set in an excellent location with a flat walk into town. Lovely decor, comfy sofa and beds and a well equipped kitchen. The garden backs onto fields and was very quiet. I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Camside and will certainly return as often as possible!

One not to miss

Beautiful decorated and furnished to a high standard. Parking for 2 cars. Comfortable beds and lovely fire. A wonderful touch was the complimentary bottle of wine on arrival.

An issue arose however the host dealt with it admiralty and I would certainly book again.

An excellent property in a great location, super hosts, couldn't want for more!

What a hidden gem, the cottage far exceeded our expectations. From the initial booking, all communications were great and the hosts were accommodating of our request for dropping luggage off early. The cottage was beautifully presented and exceptionally clean, it has plenty of modern touches but still retains the character of the building. The bedrooms were light and airy and the beds are extremely comfortable, the kitchen is well appointed with everything you could need. A lovely location with the river Cam at the bottom of the garden and a 10 minute stroll to the town centre.

Car parking was tight for 2 cars, but additional on street parking was readily available nearby.

Not a great start but overall a very enjoyable stay

It was as nice as it looks in the pictures, the bed was very comfortable, the rooms were very clean and well cared for. The location was great

For the first time ever in a property booked online there was no milk in the fridge on arrival - might not sound like a big problem but when you arrive in the dark after a journey beset with traffic problems and you have no idea or information on where the nearest shop is, then it is. There were scent diffusers in every room - not good for a hay fever sufferer - we had to open all the doors and move them all to an empty kitchen cupboard to clear the air - again not a good start
