The location was stunning and the house was gorgeous. We loved the history that it was steeped in and that the house honoured.

Good location. Very clean.

Messages from owners requesting that we remove the top sheet off the bed before we leave, which surely should be the cleaners job, who would after all be changing the bedding and make sure all windows are closed and lights off and failure to abide by the house rules could result in being charged made us feel very uncomfortable and not relaxed. We have booked a lot of properties through Booking.com and other sites and have never before been made to feel so unwelcome.

Location was great and the secret well was interesting. It’s well equipped in terms of tea/coffee/milk sachets and the host was lovely. Gave quite thorough details on parking but it was fine. The place has a lot of charm and being away from the main road it’s quiet and private.

Location is tricky to find as it’s behind a row of houses but eventually you work it out! Got a message to say if I didn’t remove the sheets and put towels in a basket I could be charged!By removing covers then exposed stains the next day! The neighbours were lovely but around 8+ people gathered to play musical instruments and sing quite loud from 6-10pm with the door open. They would have played longer but I politely asked them what time they’d be finishing as I’d been up since 5am. They were very sweet and not sure how regular that happens. Would still recommend as it may not be regular.

Interesting cottage set on hillside behind a row of other cottages. It has an old well in front and from a window in the kitchen you can see a tunnel into the hillside. The cottage has been thoughtfully restored and renovated. It was very comfortable and quiet despite a busy road in front of the first row of cottages. We had everything that we needed.
