Okewoon Barn

Charming little cottage. Exceptionally clean. Very good showers. Lots and lots of space. Quiet surroundings. Would definitely stay there again.

I didn't particularly enjoy the beds. Quite shaky (being single) and the mattress was a bit springy. However it did not spoil our stay.

Good location, quiet with lovely gardens. No noise. Well equipped property.

Wasn’t really too much of a problem but a few lights not working, tv in kitchen didn’t work. Towels not provided.

Great location, very peaceful setting and only a few minutes drive to the nearest pub. Everything was clean and tidy.

Just note, there are no supplies in the kitchen (no emergency tea or coffee, salt and pepper, cooking oil etc - you need to bring absolutely everything with you). And no wifi. That should be stated more clearly in the listing :-( It would have been helpful so that we could plan our days better (our roaming data was nearly at its limit!).

The location is lovely and peaceful, and a good base for exploring the area.

No towels are provided. This is very unusual for any accomodation these days and wouldn't have been so much of an issue if we were told of this beforehand. The host admitted they forgot to tell us about this but says that it's clearly stated on the listing. I've gone over the listing and it does not state that towels are not provided (but does explicitly state that wifi is not provided). The house had a musty smell and there was mould in both bathrooms. There are no basic items provided in the kitchen (Salt, pepper, tea, sugar) which is disappointing and would make a big difference. There were only 2 toilet rolls provided for a 4 day 4 person stay. The lane leading up to the barn needs a mirror to be able to see oncoming traffic - there is no visibility and you just have to blindly drive out onto the road and hope no other cars are coming.
