Host & Stay - Oldcorn Cottage

Excellent location. A well kept, spacious property.

Outside noise was very loud early in the morning. The pub/hotel next door had deliveries from 6am onwards, with it being in a good location 1 minute from the harbour those pesky seagulls where beautifully singing from the crack of dawn and the road is quite busy as it’s just down from the hospital. None of this particular annoyed me as I like getting up early and it was hot so all the windows were open., but to those that do like a lay in it could be a problem

Close proximity to everything we wanted to do and see in Whitby. It is a cosy maisonette. Yes, there are entrance stairs. The beds were comfy. Had everything we required.

Very unfortunately, the air B and B on the ground floor was very noisy at night till the early hours.The company were very supportive and I am sure it is a EXTREMELY RARE occurrence but 3 nights of very little sleep had a huge impact on our holiday. The noise travelled up the chimney. It did not affect the front bedroom. Just the living room and back bedroom. Parking was a big issue. The lane where it is recommended to park would mean you would get blocked in. We ended up having to pay 12 pounds per 24 hours down at the dock, and even then, finding a space was hard.
