One Night in Scarborough

Great location, beautifully appointed apartment, clean and well maintained. Communication from Claire was great, and upgrade to a more spacious apartment was much appreciated. We only stayed for one night, wish it had been longer.

Great host and apartment we will be back and would def' recommend to friends.

Fab location with easy access to a shop, a green space and the beach. It felt really safe and was so well presented out and in. A lot of thought had obviously gone into the interior decor and furnishings. Warm and comfy with everything you could possible need.

Really feels a very petty tiny problem to mention but the bottle opener was awkward to use.

Location, quality of the house, beds were brilliant, comfy pillows. Best house we've ever stayed in. The side of town is perfect, walk to beach and main front. Shops around the corner. Quality of the house was just incredible.

Superb South Bay Appartment

Well appointed appartment with luxurious feel to it. A good size that easily held 6 adults. Nice coffee selection too. Located on the Southern side of South bay away from the hussle and bussle in what we think is the nicest part of Scarborough, and only a few mins walk down through the Italian Gardens to the beach.

An extra set.of keys would have. been useful.

A luxury retreat with nice touches and useful technology. Well located with ample parking

We stayed in the Harwood on the ground floor. We were so impressed when we walked in. Everything was immaculate and modern. Some nice touches like cake, juice and milk and a nice little terrace to sit on. We locked ourselves out and someone was really quick to come and rescue us. The streaming services and Alexa was a great bonus too! Parking was easy with lots of spaces. Would come back in a flag.

Nothing really. Would be an idea to perhaps change from a self locking door as we got locked out on arrival before we realised - but was probably our fault and was sorted quick (and some comedy in it). The master toilet door didn’t shut properly and could do with a mirror in the bedrooms - But these were minor things as overall was amazing.

modern, quiet and in a decent location

This was the second time we stopped at the apartment. It is now one of our favourite and will be back again soon. Loved the option of having 2 doors to go in and our own lift to our door (top floor 3). The apartment was clean, modern and we loved it

Beautifully appointed and spotless apartment in a lovely location

The apartment has been beautifully converted and decorated. Kitchen was lovely and well equipped. Fabulous showers. Beds comfy, and really liked the location in what felt like the nicer side of Scarborough. Highly recommend it.

Would expect a king size bed in a property of this standard, prefer that over a double, but to be fair the description was clear that its two doubles.

Love Staying At Derwent House however Standards are Not what they used to be.

Love the Property and Location.

Stayed several times and I now feel a few things need resolving. Cleaning needs an upgrade. Pans and cutlery dirty. Sinks need a deep clean. Apartment smelt of smoke upon arrival. Carpets dirty.

Apartments are lovely and modern and in a great location. We’ve stayed here a couple of times and will definitely be staying again. Host was fabulous, even making a courtesy call during our stay. The complementary milk & juice were a lovely touch. Free Cakes & Treats were outstanding. As a family who have stayed in Scarborough hundreds of times Derwent House are the best apartments we have stayed at.

The beds were uncomfortable, very hard. Whole family agreed. WiFi is very poor but not too much of an issue for us.

Family trip to Scarborough

Beds were comfy, modern all through. Very good kitchen appliances. Good tvs. Use of lift ideal.

Very limited hanging space, lack of mirrors in particular full length mirrors in bedrooms. Carpet was worn and flooring uneven in places. More bins needed in bedrooms. Air conditioning unit needed for sitting room/kitchen as warm and stuffy.

Exceptional

One of the most beautiful apartments that I have stayed in. We actually stayed in the top apartment back in November and that was exceptional. Every detail has been thought of. There is an option to go across the road to the Rowntree Lodge and have breakfast-and that is excellent. Fantastic choice.

Good Quality, Attractive Apartments

I thought the quality of the fixtures and fittings were top class, the interior design had been thought out very well and it was very comfortable for four adults with the second bathroom.

There were just two aspects which were disappointing, only double beds even though the bedrooms were definitely big enough for king size and while it’s not a deal breaker for two nights it would put me off booking for longer. The other thing was there wasn’t a mirror in either of the bedrooms to get ready, this is a massive faux pas.. I had to sit on the floor and use the reflection from the drawers to dry my hair…not good at all 🤷‍♀️
