Waimea Apartments - Sea Views South Bay Scarborough Free Parking

Location and sea view were fabulous. It was a bit tricky to find a parking space, but free city-centre parking is a total bonus so we didn't mind that at all. Check in and check out was very easy with the lock box. Comfortable bedroom and living area. Bathroom small but the power shower is mighty! Towels, bedding, bathroom, fridge and actual kitchen were all lovely and clean. We appreciated the clean kitchen sponges and fairy liquid. We were in Flat no. 2, the one-bed on the ground floor.

Just a couple of minor points on cleanliness: we had to re-wash every cup, bowl or plate we used as they were all a bit dirty. An empty vape liquid bottle was left out on the side in the living room.

Great location close to the South bay beach, shops on the front and amusements. Very clean apartment, comfortable and nicely decorated.

Very small bathroom, but fine for a few nights stay.

Perfect location to beach & town centre. Free parking was a great addition. Kitchen is well equipped & there is a comfy bed. Streaming services available on the TV The apartment is bigger than the pictures.

We could not get the shower to get cool after a warm day. A fan would be a good option available for the lounge area. If you are a light sleeper, take earplugs because the seagulls are noisy :) The outside area is not a good sight with neighbours old dog bowls, flower pots and tarpaulin left.

Sea view and location were fantastic and the apartment was modern. Tv was great. Lighting was very ambient with nice dimmer switches. Good range of books for reading. Cool kettle that we utilised well. Parking was great with a disabled badge. Excellent range of shops and amusements in walking distance and beach only a few minutes walk. Seating well placed for sea view, could sit for hours! Owner communicates well and information book very useful. Apartment felt very safe.

Shower cubicle was very compact and bathroom was very small and not good being only bathroom and being ensuite to only bedroom especially if somebody had had a poo in the night! No cleaning supplies like brush, mop, hoover! Would have been nice to keep the apartment clean. Limited towels for a 2 week stay for 4 people. Limited crockery. Bed settee was awful to sleep on. Only 1 storage rail specifically for clothing so had to put clothes etc on living room storage. 1 bowl and 1 plate chipped, would have thought they would have replaced. Washing up bowl way too small for plates. Carpet looked nice but smelled funny and anything left on it smelled funny too? Having to put rubbish in public bins was annoying! Apartment had a good sized bin but you wouldnt have been able to fill it up as the bags had to squash through a gap on a public bin outside the door so we resorted to using a carrier bag and popping it out once half full.
