The house had everything anybody anybody would want for a great break, the location was great and. I n close distance to all transport. You could get get to train station in minutes. and buses also, the kitchen kitchen was well equipped,,so if wanted to cook , there was nothing that hadn't been. Thought of ,

Parking outside house was a bit of. Issue, but there was reasonable priced parking near

Very convenient for Dawlish and south coast. Very comfortable and well equipped.

Stairs very steep for people with reduced mobility. Noisy at weekends.

Everything was clean. Kitchen ware worked. Lovely court yard. Modern bathroom.

Had a bit of trouble with parking. But location was good for the town, fish and chips, Chinese and pubs.

Lovely little place to rest your head close to shops and station. Well equipped, comfy beds and a good bathroom. Nice little patio area for outdoor dining.

... we didn't have the best welcome. When we arrived at 6pm, we turned up to find rooms hadn't been touched since previous guests left. (Unmade beds, used towels on the floor, bins full of rubbish and dirty toilet! ) Sykes office number not in use as out of hours past 6pm. I had to leave a voicemail on the 'emergency' line. Someone did call back within the hour and the cleaners then came. The cleaning team got straight to it but they told me they had no record of our booking despite me having numerous 'welcome' messages. The cleaners worked to sort it all out whilst I took my five year old and elderly mother out for an hour walk and some food.... it was unneccesary stress and inconvenience as we had been travelling all day and just wanted to unpack and relax etc. Once they had cleaned the whole house obviously stank of cleaning products which was quite overpowering just before bed. The following day I received a courtesy call from Sykes but no apology- they told me the cleaners had been emailed about our arrival so it was their error and they would feedback my comments to the owner. So far no communication with the owner or apology. The cleaners did leave chocolates and biscuits so perhaps that was their way of apologising.... but I'm not impressed with Sykes not taking accountability and the non follow up of the situation. Parking is very difficult in Dawlish! Whilst the listing says parking at the property, it's just public on street parking and it is tight. We were ok the first day but I had to drive around for a while looking for a place to park on subsequent days. Was only an issue as I had a young child and elderly family member with me so had hoped to be able to park close by. Water pressure is good but water in kitchen is too hot! Just mentioning as I scalded myself just opening the tap and wouldn't want anyone else to do the same.

Exceptional cleanliness. Plenty of storage in the bedroom and kitchen. Great cotton sheets. Lovely private rear garden. Proximity to town, gardens, promenade,station and all Dawlish facilities.

It says "free parking", but this is free on the street, and spaces are hardly ever available. Could be clearer. There is reasonably-priced long-term parking at the car park near the public toilets, a short walk away (if you are fit).

Beautiful cottage ideally placed for visiting Dawlish and the surrounding area.

Parking outside the property was difficult but there was large public car park nearby.

Everything is perfect and cosy what we need. We will definitely come back again.
