Sunset Guesthouse and Venue Cullinan

The fabulous hosts Meleney and Leon made us feel so welcome. It felt like home from home. The spacious cottage was beautifully decorated, well-equipped and so comfortable. The daily delivery of home-baked bread, fresh and warm from the oven was a special touch! We got to recharge our batteries in a lovely setting so convenient for the quaint center of Cullinan.

There is nothing we didn't like!

Meleney and Leon were so friendly and hospitable. The venue was perfect for an overnight stay but equipped for longer stays too. So much more than we expected

Near the main road so you can hear cars go by but earplugs were thoughtfully provided, and the bed was so comfy we slept like logs.

Accomodation neat and Central to town and activities in and around Cullinan.The host friendly and the baked bread a winner.

Nice farm, beautiful gardens and communal areas. Breakfast was sufficient, but you have to cook it yourself. We were provided with raw eggs, block of cheese, yogurt, tomato sauce, ham, bread, milk and fruit juice.

The farm is very close to the main road, very noisy, and halfway between Cullinan town and a nearby informal settlement. The sewage works is also about 500m from the property. We felt a bit unsafe due to the many security warnings given, as well as the perimeter fencing and the need for motion censors. Two of the rooms do not have doors, and the communal bathroom is located inside the third bedroom. The bathroom overlooks part of the property, towards the main house, and does not have curtains, and a panel of curtain was missing from the glass front doos as well, that made us feel quite exposed. The upper floor has a very low ceiling and in some places somone of 1,64m can’t stand up straight We were not happy with the cleanliness of the bathrooms.
