GITE DE L'ORME

Great location in the heart of wine making village, Chavignol. This felt like a very traditional gite, with plenty of space and well equipped. Very comfortable. Probably the friendliest host ever. Gilles made us. Very welcome, explained everything, and made recommendations. Our dogs were most welcome. He also gifted some cheese from his 5th generation family fromagerie. I speak French so this helped, although I suspect he may speak some English too. The location, for wine lovers, is brilliant as there are so many vignerons within a few minutes walk, where you can taste and buy. You can also take a short walk to spectacular panoramic views of Sancerre on its hill. Iconic.

It is on the first and second floor (which I was aware of before booking) but the stairs are a bit narrow and uneven.
