Awesome spot near Sancerre in the sweet village of Chavignol.

Great location in the sweet village of Chavignol, very close to Sancerre. Beautiful views of idyllic vineyards.

Darling apartment with two sets of stairs, and A frame bedroom, in CHAVIGNOL, a suburb of SANCERRE.

Beautiful little town, and the apartment delightful. Clean, roomy, nice bathroom. Great location athough most everything was closed on the Sunday/Monday we were there.

More explicit directions would have been good. I put the address into the GPS, thinking this was Sancerre, but it isn't, it's a town called CHAVIGNOL, more an adjacent village and it took us all over the area until we were stuck in a crossroad of narrow narrow streets. I called the hosts, who only speak French and I speak little. I translated a text and sent it and we got another set of directions, taking us a cheese shop, but turned out there were two cheese shops, so we were in the wrong one. Nice shop owner called the hosts and off again we went and did find the right location with friendly host waiting for us to show how to access keys. The apartment is located UP a very very narrow set of stairs, which was hard for a person with bad knees and hauling up the luggage difficult. The bedroom was located up another even steeper set of stairs to an A frame room - adorable, but hard to stand up in without hitting one's head. I don't remember these attributes being disclosed in the description. A darling place for much younger people - in their 20's - 40's, not in 70's to nearly 80's. The heater controls needed instructions. It was very cold and we could figure out how to get the heater on for one hour at a time. I wouldn't stay here again, but only because my husband has bad knees and is tall. It's really a sweet apartment, once you can find it, for a younger clientele.

A lovely apartment in a beautiful village. It was very quiet and extremely clean.

The steps up to the bedroom were very old and uneven so you have to take care, especially at night, but we loved the charm of them.

The host was so welcoming and helpful, we really loved the Gite, it made a perfect base to Sancerre

Nice place if you’re ok with the tiny stairwells and no railings!

It was clean and spacious with excellent furnishings and well equipped kitchen.

There were two sets of stairs- one from the entrance at ground level and one from the living area to the bedroom. Both of these were narrow and the one to the bedroom had some wedge shaped stairs. The stairways were very narrow and from 1/2 way up to the upper levels there weren’t any railings.

Accueil tres agréable et gourmand du propriétaire qui n'a pas été avare de bonnes adresses ! Nous n'avons pas eu la chance de rencontrer Madame mais la félicitons pour l'aménagement, la décoration et la bonne tenue du gîte.

Un luogo incantato tra i vigneti

Casa meravigliosa, accogliente e ricca di ogni strumento necessario per viverla. Location incantata in un bellissimo villaggio, Chavignol, ricco di produttori di vini e l'incredibile azienda del signor Dubois dedicata al formaggio (crotin), a soli 5 minuti da Sancerre e vicina ad ogni luogo di interesse della regione dello Cher. Il Signor Dubois è un incredibile padrone di casa!

Une pause épicurienne

Emplacement idéal avec un parking privé, un restaurant Au P’tit Goûter à 2 minutes à pieds, des dégustations à proximité, des promenades dans les vignes et vues superbes à 2 pas du logement. Petite cuisine bien équipée, salle d’eau neuve et propre, chambre confortable pour bien dormir et le salon salle à dîner vraiment agréable et bien aménagé. Un accueil chaleureux.
