Just outside the cottage, you’ll find a patio with a little seating area, and a shared walled garden beyond that where a barbecue area awaits. The expansive grounds surrounding the cottage are a fisher’s paradise with the Dart River for fly fishing and a stocked Course lake. You’re in the heart of the countryside here, meaning pure peace and quiet, but if you do seek a little civilisation the pretty Saxon town of Chulmleigh sits on a hilltop a mile away.
