Langhuis Guesthouse

Everything was fabulous!

Langhuis is a gracious, well appointed place to stay, very well located if you need peace, space and beauty.

I booked a room at the Langhuis Guesthouse specifically because I wanted a suite with doors that opened onto a stoep and that looked out at the garden and view. When I got there, my room turned out to be the one room that has no doors leading out, no stoep, no garden, no view. I honestly don't quite know how it happened, as I take care when I choose where I'm going to stay. The detailed description on Booking.com makes things clear, but the text upfront and the images are misleading. The room was described as a villa and an image shows greenery through the window, when in fact it is just a bedroom and en suite bathroom, with a window onto the street. Most of the images are of the gorgeous rooms facing the garden and mountain. One can of course sit on the lovely stoep on the other side of the house and enjoy the garden and view. But if you want an actual garden room, make sure you're not booking the one inside the house.

The staff were exceptional. Breakfast was super delicious with freshly baked scones and Dutch bread each morning. Both Linda and Carlin helped us tremendously with our stay and logistics. We will be back.

Property with secure parking, accommodation was comfortable, nice bathroom facilities. Availability of a common area indoor and outdoor lounge for the use of guests was nice too.
