We had a truly wonderful welcome from the hosts. Eleftheria showed us all around the property, provided recommendations for food and sights in the local area. They had even provided a substantial amound of food supplies on arrival including bread, juice and snacks. The pool and outside areas are excellent and the villa itself was modern and clean with all the facilities you would need.

From the moment we booked the villa, I knew we had made the right choice. Giannis and Eleftheria were very welcoming after booking, answering any questions we had and ensuring our needs were met, especially since we were bringing our toddler and family visiting from Canada. The villa was gorgeous on arrival, nestled by the mountains with incredible views of the sea. Eleftheria, one of the loveliest people you will ever meet, met us on arrival to show us around the villa and show us how to use everything. She even gave us a list of fantastic recommendations of places to eat and places to visit within the area. The villa itself is beautiful and spotless! It has everything you could possibly need on your holiday, including an outdoor gym and a great play area with equipment for the little ones. Not to mention the pool and bbq facilities! The furniture and décor is modern, clean and very comfortable. The tvs in each of the bedrooms were a nice touch. The kitchen is well equipped; and Eleftheria ensure we had essential supplies available on arrival (e.g. milk, coffee, snacks, etc), which was so lovely to have at the start of our holiday. The villa hosts are incredibly warm, kind, and thoughtful – they ensured they were available to answer any queries that we may have had during our stay. They really did feel like our holiday family 😊 I’ve stayed in numerous villas across Greece and the world, but have never stayed anywhere that felt more comfortable or welcoming like I did in Villa Irifay. If you’re travelling to Crete, I would highly recommend staying here if it’s available! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again - in fact, the family are already discussing our next holiday here. Simply perfect! We stayed at Villa Irifay for just under 3 weeks and had an absolutely lovely stay. The villa is new, modern and clean within easy reach of Agios Nikolaos. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and were always available via phone/text to answer questions about Crete, make restaurant recommendations etc. We travelled with our 3 year old and 7 month old. When we enquired about a baby cot and high chair prior to our stay the hosts very kindly purchased them for us. The villa is perfect for families as it has lots on offer for children, it’s a 5 minute drive from child friendly Ammos Beach and it felt like home from home for us. The hosts showered our children with little gifts and took us out for a traditional Cretan meal. The swimming pool is a good size and like the whole property is maintain to a very high standard. The view of the sea is brilliant too! We don’t usually visit the same place twice but we would consider revisiting Villa Irifay in future.
