Emerald Lake Studios

Upon entering, what we appreciated most was the aesthetic sense and attention to detail in the apartment's design. A perfect example of this and of traditional Cretan hospitality was the welcome basket filled with an assortment of fresh fruits, cream cookies, various espresso capsules, and high-quality Twinings tea. It is a seemingly small touch that makes for a great welcome! Maria warmly greeted us and was always available to promptly answer our questions about the apartment, sightseeing, dining and even where to grab sandwiches for our flight back. The bed was exceptionally comfy and the location is breathtaking. Don't miss the chance to wake up early one morning, sit in the balcony and witness the amazing sunrise (see the attached picture).

Not a drawback, but just to levelset: we stayed on the second floor and the staircase is quite steep, so please climb slowly and safely. There is no problem finding free parking within a 300 meter range, but please note that, like many other similar properties, there is no private free parking available for this unit

Lovely apartment which was modern, clean and well equipped. In perfect location with the most beautiful view. In the centre of town but very quiet at night due to good doors. Maria the owner was the most fabulous, helpful and generous host. An absolute angel!

Perfect location for beach , town , restaurants etc. Amazing views from the balcony . Very quiet. Very friendly and helpful host . Always ready to assist with enquiries. Made us very welcome and left some small treats which were much appreciated . Immaculately clean . Very tasteful and carefully considered decor . A lovely place to stay and would highly recommend .

The property was amazing in all respects , although we personally would have liked a microwave or a small portable hot plate to heat things . Eg milk for coffee or to boil and egg .

The view from the spacious balcony at breakfast and on the evening were terrific! Maria the host is super friendly and accommodating. She highlighted beaches and restaurants to try at dinner and could not have been a better host

2 flights of stairs up with heavy bags is less than ideal but everything else was super!
