The location was excellent, close to all main attractions and restaurants. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed. Towels and hairdryer provided in the room.
The only window is towards the inner courtyard, used for people to eat or smoke. Therefore, no privacy. The wooden slabs offer zero to non soundproofing, thus you can hear absolutely everything the upstairs neighbors are doing.

The location of Chateau La Vallette couldn't be better, a few streets away from the main road, and despite that, it was really quiet.
The owner contacted us a few days before, and asked us when we were arriving, giving priority to our room, and making it way easier for us to check in (even though we managed to do it earlier!), which, knowing now Valletta, we really appreciate not having to carry our luggage more than necessary.
Likewise, when we left the room, the check-out was really smooth, to the point that my friend left some of his stuff behind by mistake, and the owner contacted me to go and collect it!
Additionally, the kitchen area was spotless with fresh coffee and cream for our use. On top of that, the owner left some beach towels we could use!
The walls were paper-thin, and we got woken up a few times during the night by people speaking/making noise in the other rooms late at night. Other than that, the keys had a keyring that was used to set the lights on in the room, but as we only had one set of keys, we were dependent on each other to leave the room together, or we would get locked out.

The room was lovely and clean, bed comfortable, and bathroom very amenable. The location is perfect and despite being near a very lively area, wasn't noisy from it. It's about a 5 minute walk to the Malta Experience and Fort St Elmo. I'd also highly recommend booking 'Grain' - a restaurant around the corner - it was excellent.
The walls and ceiling/floors are very thin! I could hear the tiniest noise from the person upstairs. I think they dropped a charger at one point and it sounded so loud. Don't stay here if you're a light sleeper. The other very random thing I would say is that the bedsheet was really scratchy! Maybe they're quite old and have been washed too much.

The building seems to have been renewed and decorated recently, but: 1) the room was small, with no cupboard to store clothes (only a clothes rack with hangers). 2) It had a window overlooking an internal patio, from which almost no light at all entered as it was blocked by construction works scaffolding. 3) Poor ventilation made the room damp. In sum, the room was small, humid, and very dark.
