The perfect location

The bedsheet was unclean and wrinkled . The lighting was also bad . My stay wasnt comfortable .

Great location: right in the heart of Valletta, with easy access to bus stops, the city centre, and plenty of restaurants along streets like St Lucia Street and Merchant Street. The room is spacious and comfortable. Overall, it was a a very convenient place to stay.

The bed was unfortunately quite uncomfortable, and the metal bed frame felt a little flimsy. Since it’s an older building, the place does look a bit dated and run-down in some areas. The bathroom could also be better designed. The shower area doesn’t seem to have proper drainage or a lowered floor section, so the water spread across the bathroom floor every time you shower, which can be very inconvenient.

The location was excellent and made it easy to explore the surrounding area. The air conditioning worked very well, which was especially appreciated in the hot weather. Although we arrived to find the room in a very poor state, the cleaner who arrived later did a brilliant job. The room was cleaned thoroughly, the bed was made, and everything was left spotless. Once this had been resolved, we had no further issues during our stay.

Before our stay, we requested an early check-in and were told it was subject to availability, which we completely understood. We appreciated receiving the self check-in details in advance, but when we entered the room it had clearly not been prepared. The bed was still unmade from the previous guests, used towels were left in both the bedroom and bathroom, and it was obvious no cleaning had taken place. If the room wasn’t ready, we would have preferred to be asked to wait rather than being given access to it in that condition. It made for a very disappointing first impression. The shower pressure was also extremely poor—we had more water coming from the sink tap than the shower head. There was also nowhere to store luggage before check-in or after check-out, which would have been helpful. Although the cleaner resolved the room issue quickly and did an excellent job, the initial experience fell well below what should be expected from a paying guest.
