Stopped over for a couple of nights on way across France to get the ferry. Took breakfast (option) once, it was delicious. House is a very old, slightly quirky, largely traditional dwelling dating from the mid-nineteenth century, conveniently situated near the centre of the town and David is an excellent host (thank you !!) ... :)

Ideal stopover on our way back to the ferry at Calais. Spacious rooms, showers are decent and owner is very friendly. He let us park our car inside the secure garden area overnight but I suspect this may not be possible if the property was fully booked. At least three decent boulangeries in town and we had a great meal at a nearby restaurant. Cars can be charged at the car park where the resistance museum is. We booked two rooms for our family of four.
Don’t expect high end luxury but everything we needed was here.

A real treat.
Triple room cost quite a bit more than the doubles which are much nicer. Not a real grumble. More of an observation.

The facilities were somewhat limited for the relatively high price.

Very quirky and traditional ex-family home place run by David. Very comfortable and a good location on the Avenue Verte cycle way. David recommended 265 restaurant close by - the best meal we had in our 7 days in France.

We loved staying at L'Antre de Gadag! Very friendly staff including Raul- the owner's lovely dog. Our room was spacious and clean. The property had many outdoor spaces and activities that we couldn't enjoy due to the weather but it's perfect location made it easy for us to explore the city.

The way the owner has made the old mansion comfortable while keeping its character; the garden. It’s a loved place.
The quirkiness some times means a bit of unreliability: there were to little hand soaps, and shampoo, but not shower gel?😅

Great secure storage for our 2x bikes, location was fabulous close to shops and there was a small market in the town square close by. The house is gorgeous and our room was beautifully decorated.

If you love corporate style hotels this is not the place for you. Instead it is a homely welcoming quirky residence in a beautiful traditional manor house in the centre of town. We loved it.

The owner was friendly and booked us a table at a local restaurant which was very good.
We had somewhere for our bikes and the breakfast was great. The room size as good. Plenty of space.
The double bed was two singles put together with a gap in the middle and the bedding was lacking. We would have appreciated a nice duvet, two pillows each and a more comfy bed. The room lacked those extra special touches like nice soap and shampoo in the bathroom.
The owner was not there when we arrived but we did arrive at 7pm and he had gone out to a local restaurant. The key was in the door so we could kind of wander in but the place looked a little deserted. We wondered whether we had some to the right place.
