Our stay was pleasant and met needs during the week stay. Overall we found the Cottage comfortable to stay in and it was in a lovely quite area. And accessible for days out . I like the pluggin night lights as it can be very dark in the college at night.
The college had a smell to it when you first went in it did feel damp inside the Cottage. the bedroom with the two single beds upstairs are a bit old and rickety and the mattresses weren't too good to sleep on. there was some areas of cleanserness that could
have been cleaned better. one of the blankets smelt of
dog. the tumble dryer was full of water as the tank
had not been empted, no floor broom, although there was a small hoover in the cupboard, no bins in the
bathroom areas. the downstairs bathroom did not
have a blind so you couldn't have a bath even though
part of the glass was frosted. It stated in welcome book about leaving the BBQ clean, but there wasn't
one to use, only coal bags piled up under the shelter
and that area needed a good clean nowhere to hang
any washing. they provided an airer, which was flimsy
and not adequate. The gas detection box was sat on the shelf above the fireplace and didn't appear to be
working. Most of these things that I have listed are
easily to be put right to make an outstanding stay.

The location was pretty but was not safe for walking as no path. It was very clean and well stocked.
It wasn't particularly pet friendly as stated. Our dogs are our family and are allowed everywhere we are so to not allow them upstairs was a major problem especially as our friends had a puppy with them who could not be left alone. There was no garden to speak of and no path to walk the dogs especially at night. I don't think the cottage had been lived in much as there was an awful musty smell each time you entered it and everywhere felt damp and it was not very warm inside and we were unable to light the fire to get the heating on so were only using the portable heater.

The location is about a mile walk (3 minutes in a car) from the lovely village of Shanklin. The cottage was very well presented, décor was lovely and had all the facilities anyone can need. We stayed with our 2 lovely small dogs, the outside was perfect for them as the garden was fenced in. The location was perfect, woods across the road, the cottage sits on a quiet road, I didn't hear any traffic once inside. The whole cottage was very clean, and had a lovely downstairs bathroom.
The beds were very comfortable, I only wish I was still there!
There was nothing I didn't like, as we drove everywhere and the location was only a mile walk from the lovely village of Shanklin, which is the best place to stay in my opinion.

Absolutely fabulous stay in a lovely cottage.
Spotlessly clean, everything catered for and flowers on arrival.
We kept the log burner going all weekend as it was so cold and this produced plenty of heat and hot water all weekend. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back
Maybe the television needs updating, it isn't a smart TV. We didn't use it much but when we did, a smart TV would have been better

Nice wood burner. Excellent shower. Okay kitchen
WiFi was horrendous. Absolutely terrible. Kept dropping out on calls. Really poor. No plug for kitchen sink. Mould on shower window. In excess of 30 fake plants inside and outside, which, IMO, is too much.No access on rather small TV to stream Netflix etc.
Freezer needs defrosting.
Also, on arrival in the cupboard was an open pack of peanuts and a half eaten bag of Haribo sweets. Quite a few cobwebs as well.

Location great. Beautiful quiet road. Beds very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped
The outside area was not very well looked after or particularly cosy. Grass overgrown.
Lots of cobwebs indoors but this was sorted after a vacuum

loved the log fire and comfy beds, location was beautiful. well decorated and stocked with plenty of pots and pans.
the doors in front of the fridge and freezer don’t really work and the fridge one virtually fell off and has been a complete pain! also only like warm water seem to be available in the evenings so a bath was an impossibility.

Clean well equipped cottage, great having the 2 bathrooms, nice clean bedding and towels, loved the Dachshund themed kitchen as our sausage dog joined us for the trip, setting nice and quiet but not to far to get to attractions and shops by car.
Heating set up, unfortunately we arrived on a very cold afternoon, the cottage wood burner took hours to heat radiator system fully, the plug in radiators helped though as did the kitchen heater, housekeeper very helpful and caring.

Lovely rural location. House full of character and very tastefully fitted out. Excellent bathroom and a functional upstairs shower room. Bed very comfortable and linen crisp and sparkling. Kitchen/diner very well equipped. Parking good but tight for two cars. Good supply of kindling and coal for log burner. Double glazing a big plus.
The log burner is slow to heat up and consequently the heating in the house takes a while. The shower is a tight fit.

We loved the quiet location, it was handy for the coast. The cottage is presented very well. Comfortable beds and decent shower. The weather was great, so we enjoyed dining outside in the courtyard. We managed to park two good sized vehicles in the space provided (with a bit of careful manoeuvering!)
Nothing to dislike. Would stay here again.

Ideally situated for visiting Shanklin, Sandown and exploring the island. On a quiet country lane. Cottage was very comfortable had everything for a relaxing stay. Great for couples and family. The Isle of Wight is a lovely place and we will see if the cottage is available when we visit next year.
There was a minor hitch with WiFi but it was dealt with efficiently. The only other thing, which was obviously beyond the control of the Company, was we could have done with a little more sun. Hopefully next year there should be more sun if we visit in the Summer.
