Lovely cottage . Beds weren’t the best and key safe was so old it was impossible to open and shut up . Double bed small for us as both tall . Location was ok if you drive everywhere which we did but not an easy walk to places

The location is fantastic, set in a beautiful old manor house surround by woods and fields. The property is a good size and well furnished and the kitchen has every conceivable device you would ever need.

It's not that easy to find , drove past it twice before we realised where it was. Could do with a sign on the fence outside. Also leaving the property is a bit dodgy, there is a steep drive that leads out to a bend in the road and your visibility is blocked by 2 large signs nailed to the fence , makes leaving a bit nervey . The location of the key box was also a hunt, instructions said on the fence, took us a good 20 minutes to locate that ! The gate to the property garden opens on the wrong side , it opens from the left and opens into the garden, it makes getting in and getting out a real faff . Not sure when the place was last cleaned, but the 2 seater sofa was dirty, spill marks going down the front , we cleaned as best we could and put a throw on it. I decided on day 2 to use the vacuum cleaner provided as we had our dog , but considering we had only been in the place less than 24 hours, the vacuum container was filled just doing the lounge carpet and rug ! There were also cobwebs and dust that really in my opinion have been cleaned prior to guests arriving. There were light fittings loose in the ceiling and sprinkler covers missing. The extractor in the kitchen was covered in grease and the light didn't work. The electric fire didn't work either,lucky for us it was a very mild week. The place was also filled with junk. Drawers full of old dvds and no dvd player. Cupboards with old games and not one complete. Drawers full of old junk in both the kitchen and front room. It's a real shame as the place was so nice and could easily be top notch with a bit more effort in places.

Beautifully clean , extremely spacious and so so quite , really comfy beds . Well equipped kitchen . Lovely big private garden 😄 Great for the dog !! Rural yet only a short drive from everywhere. Will definitely stay again !

Better signage from the rd as tricky to find first time ,plus better position for the key box pls ,next to front door would be perfect

Excellent location, beautiful surroundings, sunny disposition. Cottage is very well presented. Matress good firm quality. Perfect location for a well behaved dog, good enclosed garden. Well heated.

No response received to messages sent to owner via booking.com before visit, nor to message left on cleaner's mobile. Log fire is electric. A couple of dirty / broken items were brought to the attention of cleaners when we checked out. Should easily be remedied before the next visitor.

Lovely quiet location. The property had everything you could possibly need, even an umbrella should it rain. It was great to have a safe enclosed garden for the dog. A list of tourist attractions, eating places, safety instructions and emergency procedures were available. The central heating was very efficient and the water temperature was excellent.

Having a dog with us might have been a bit of a problem if it had been wet as the lounge carpet was pale. The bath was a little damaged and the shower head could do with being replaced, but to be honest these things didn’t distract us from the cottage. The internet connection instructions were a little confusing as there were two sets. Due to the setting of the cottage the internet is poor, but that didn’t bother us, but some families might find this a problem.

After reading some bad reviews we were a little concerned. But our stay was brilliant. Its an old cottage but inside was comfy cosy and very welcoming. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare your own food. Living room was cosy. with some lovely books on the bookshelf and jigsaws in the cupboard. Our kids loved the 3 beds in one room. the cottage was lovely and warm and the beds were comfy. Would definitely stay here again! Just a 5 min drive to Amazon World and only a short drive to Shanklin.

I can't say we didn't like anything.

The property is in a great location with lots of walks for our dog. The kitchen was fully equipped and the beds were comfortable.

There was a stain on our bedding, and the freezer needed defrosting. Had a slight musty smell on entering the property but we soon didn’t notice it.
