Comfortable and quiet stay in the town

Very clean and comfortable. Despite being close to the road the secondary glazing really kept the room quiet. Super breakfast across the road in the hotel and the staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and pleasant. Room was spacious. Would suggest lamp on each side of bed rather than on one side but that didn’t impact the stay. Will hopefully be back !

Excellent accommodation

Beautifully decorated bedroom and entrance hallway. Centrally located in the village and to the main hotel. Friendly staff, very welcoming.

While only a very minor issue, the blind in the bedroom wouldn't close fully, which meant it was a little bright early in the morning if a light sleeper.

Perfect stop over before the big city .

Close to a very busy road intersection and traffic lights with breakfast served across the road. A good cooked breakfast with plenty of choice.

We arrived on Sunday and were surprised how busy the road was . Crossing to the hotel had to be done with great care.! Be aware that Slane is quite hilly.

I wish we’d booked an extra night. a location to explore ancient sites and pretty towns

I had been upgraded and stayed in the coach house across the road from the hotel .The room was lovely as were the gardens. Very good breakfast.

Almost perfect

Staff were exceptionally good, & the food was amazing. Location was perfect for us. It was a lovely place with old world charm. Overall a great atmosphere. We would definitely stay again.

The carpet was grubby, a bit od DIY needed in the room, the door handel was loose no toilet roll holder the windows were dirty. We weren't told at the time of booking that breakfast was in another property across the road.

Excellent, good value stay

We actually stayed in the main hotel, the Conyngham Arms, as I was informed on check in that we'd been moved there. Happy with that as we didn't then have to cross the street in the rain for meals. Lovely rooms, well appointed. Excellent, homemade breakfast. Helpful, friendly staff.

Glowing green light above the bedroom door. Clearly meant to mark the exit in case of an emergency but completely over the top and annoying at night. Not encountered this in a hotel bedroom before.

Will be back to this tiny gem in Slane

The room was of a very nice hotel standard for the price, and we had a perfect stay for the night. Having the window to the back helped with noise from the street. Nice big shower for the room size, with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was included from the hotel across the street (check-in is in the same place) and it was an excellent one. The staff at the hotel were very polite and very helpful. Location smack in town is excellent.

Can't fault much, the Mattress was a tiny bit hard for me, but then we all like different ones and it was of good quality.

We liked the location and the overall experience. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Worst French toast ever: greasy, burnt, and soggy from fruit compote and syrup. the compote and syrup should be served WITH the meal, not ON it. It is beyond me how anyone can mess up a basic dish. We were catching a flight and didn't have time to reorder.

Rooms was uncomfortable small. Main Room/ Bathroom multiple holes in wall facilties in bathroom hanging off the wall - TV and Iron were faulty. Poor location if not driving. Breakfast poor with tables being steadied with napkins and room full of flies - more of a budget hotel not worth the £140 charged

Fantastic- great value for money and wonderful/accomodating staff.

I was staying for a wedding nearby and needed a later check out which they accommodated with no issue at all. The staff were all super friendly, the room was small but cosy and clean/felt newly refurbished. Bathroom was spotless and a great size.

The only things I can comment on are the sink in my room seemed like it could have been blocked. There was also no kettle and you had to use the espresso machine for a tea (to get the hot water) which meant running it a few times to make sure there were no coffee granules. But really I can’t complain about anything I had the best stay! Those 2 comments are just things I think could be improved to make an already great experience even better.

Good size room with excellent ensuite and decorated in a lovely old fashioned way. Reception staff were lovely and the included breakfast across the road at the Conyngham Hotel was scrumptious and plentiful.

Stains on carpet as well as chair at writing desk let the overall opinion down.

That the Hotel was small but it was well equipped with Everything my Brother needed. He was very happy there. It was very good value. At first, my Brother was dissapointed because he thought that himself &myself and my Sister were all staying together in the Old Post Office but myself and my Sister had a Room in the Hotel across the road. Anyway, he was happy there. Thanks. Marian

That we couldnt have the two Twin Rooms in the same Hotel that we booked ,but we got them in the end but with my Brother in one place & my Sister and myself in the "Conninghton Arms Hotel"(across the road) but the 4of us could have Breakfast together in Hotel where we were staying.
