Excellent stay in a beautiful part of the world! The room was extremely clean and tidy, they exceed my expectations. Beautiful style and decor. We will be back for another stay in the future.

The only thing which I wasn't a fan of was the tea. Breakfast tea in a shared hot thermal flask as a little disappointing.

Anniversary stay .

Staff were very friendly and welcoming with Sam being exceptional and made our 25th wedding anniversary special.

Friendly attentive staff, despite congested conditions....

The staff were excellent! We had an issue with my parents' room key and they responded quickly and resolved the problem. Front desk attendants were very welcoming and informative. Restaurant staff was efficient and informed.

Somehow I missed the fact that we could potentially be in a different building than the main one. It was lovely, but a tad inconvenient only because a HUGE Halloween event was occuring at nearby Slane Castle and there was so much traffic that it made parking and loading/unloading a little cumbersome. Not a typical day in Slane, from what I gathered...just the luck of the draw for us!

Parking in the back. Restaurant staff were pleasant.

Keyed rooms, only one key instead of the expected multiple cards, which hindered flexibility my wife and I going to the room at separate times. They had a huge party scheduled and dozens of drunk people yelling at closing time right outside our windows at closing time.

Cosy, rustic, big bedroom, nice little restaurant with tasty food and not too expensive.

Here and there a little dated - bathroom needs a new shower curtain, bedroom carpet clean but old stains remain.

brilliant stay

We stayed in the house across the road from the hotel and it was beautiful. Great sized room, fantastic bathroom and beds were comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was very good. The staff was really nice and helpful.

Very clean. Lovely service at breakfast. Nice breakfast options. Central to Slane. Good parking.

No WiFi in the Old Post Office section, which is essential for business travel. The rain shower is possibly just for show - I couldn't get it to work. There was no body wash/soap provided. There was no kettle, just a coffee machine which appeared not to work? Food was pretty bad I'm sorry to say - balsamic all over my breakfast, and a lemon tart dessert that was buried in cream and risked doing some damage to surrounding diners if I cut into it. No sign on either main course or dessert of coriander/basil listed on the menu!

Grand for a quick stopover in Slane

Clean, unique property.

Staff were too busy chatting in the corner to serve. Fried breakfast wasn't really edible. Cleaners were banging around the building at 7am. (We heard nobody else during our stay so they were loud!)

This hotel is in a perfect location in town, food is excellent - no need to go elsewhere.

The onsite dining was really good - we ate breakfast and dinner there. Staff was super sweet. The bed was comfortable with good pillows.

I would suggest - having 2 luggage stands as we had to use the ironing board as an additional stand. A little more storage space in the bath would be nice. Oh - also the amazingly bright green light in the bedroom ceiling - we covered with paper and some tape (band aids - plasters) so we could sleep as it greatly illuminated the room. Next time I will travel with electrical tape

Wedding in Slane

The hotel was extremely busy, with a lot of the wedding party wanting to book in at the same time. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.

Pleasant and friendly hotel

Stayed a couple of days whilst touring the east of Ireland. The location was ideal for our needs. The hotel is in a lovely, traditional building. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable.

Our room was a little small and there was a bad smell of damp coming from the bathroom. The room was in the Old Post Office annex across the road from the main hotel and we did report the smell on our departure.

Lovely night away

The kids loved the bunk beds. I liked having the washing machine and dryer as it is so handy and also wash tables supplied. Bed was comfortable. The area was lovely, beach and play park across the road.
