Conyngham Arms Hotel

Room was clean and comfortable though a little dated. Very good choice at breakfast and it was nicely cooked and served

A small point... the room must have been the furthermost room from reception in the whole hotel, it was along a quirky maze of corridors, probably from adding multiple extensions at the back of the building, but on checking in we were told the hotel wasn't full so wonder why we were allocated a room so far away.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. I would recommend you book a table at the restaurant. We had planned to eat there but there was no tables available. We had to drive to raymos and eat chipper as we could not find anywhere else to eat. The room was beautiful and very clean. But it was extremely hot and no fans available.

On arrival I asked about the restaurant and was told the opening times. This gave the impression it would be no problem eating there. It would have been helpful to be told to book a table.

Character Breakfast

Room in main building was warm and had to open the windows. Hotel on very busy road with a lot of constant noise from traffic. Room was lively and had loads of character with four poster bed. We stayed a second night on the Sunday and were placed across the road in the post office. Again, at the front and asked for a move to avoid noise. Much quieter but a tiny room which is really only good for one person - they did warn us and it’s was worth the squeeze for some sleep. Hotel charged us twice - once through booking.com then took money from my husband - we are still trying to get money back as manager not available.
