Excellent stay on Lake Prespa

A beautiful house and garden near Prespa Lake. Come for the tranquility after Ohrid! The whole family were very friendly and I appreciated the extras like a pickup and drop off at Resen (I don't have a car), a bike to go to the beach and the complimentary minibar including local wine! The breakfast is also excellent - especially the homemade jams and ajvar. The nearby villages are very pretty and an easy trip on foot.

For those travelling by public transport it is worth knowing that there are a lot fewer buses Ohrid to Resen and Resen to Bitola than it seems online so worth asking at Ohrid or Bitola for up to date info.

Top-notch hospitality and breathtaking nature

We absolutely loved it! The hospitality was top-notch and the stunning nature surrounding the farm was breathtaking. The old house has been exceptionally well redesigned to make you feel very comfortable. Mattresses and pillows were just right for a restful night of sleep. The breakfast was outstanding and a homemade fig preserve served before we left was something to remember. I am sure it would be a hit if commercially available. The only sounds you hear are birds and insects. If you are looking for a unique and sustainable getaway, I highly recommend checking out this place. The restaurant on a Lugano beach in Pretor is the best bet for a meal. The chilled atmosphere, with cats and dogs mingling around looking for table scraps, adds to the charm. On our drive to the restaurant, we stumbled upon turtles crossing the road twice.

The Prespa lake has considerably shrunk over the last several years, and the beaches were not what one might expect. Among several nearby beachfronts we checked, the best was Slivnica beach, which is a short drive from the property.

We had a wonderful stay at this “off the beaten path” village. Highly recommended for hikers or those with their own car who enjoy exploring.

Fantastic place to stay near Lake Prespa

The owners were so friendly and helpful. They made a huge effort to look after me and ensure that I had fantastic stay. Lovely building, facilities and location.The village and surrounding area are beautiful and very much off the tourist trail even for Macedonia. Good walking and cycling and close to Lake Prespa and National Park. Very good communications with hosts. Highly recommended.

Quiet Oasis with Great Hosts

Villa Prespa offers a wonderful, quiet, well equipped oasis in one of North Macedonia's most beautiful locations: Lake Prespa. The hosts at Villa Prespa made our stay unforgettable with their hospitality: exceptional breakfasts with exquisite local products, great information on things to do in the surroundings, and a secluded place with great views on the lake and the garden. We hiked towards isolated monastries, drove to much more touristy Lake Ohrid and enjoyed the wonderful nearby quiet beach. Really a wonderful place.

Worths another visit from İstanbul

Villa Prespa is home away from home. If you like food & wine, authentic places and appreciate outdoor activities, such as biking and hiking this is your place. We loved the boat trip to the Snake Island. We enjoyed Villa Prespa as a couple very much and next time we will come with our friends.

A Perfect Place

This place is amazing! I usually don't book places that are new, but this is one of the best stays I've ever had! The room and facilities are wonderful! All new and super comfy. The place is cozy, and very clean. We really liked the coffee machine in our room, perfect for romantic mornings and coffee in bed. The hosts are a wonderful family, ready to assist you at any time and go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. They even organised apple harvest for our family. The food is amazing! Fresh and delicious. I have no words to thank everyone at Villa Prespa for making our weekend so wonderful. We will be back for sure!

Exceptional

The breakfast was excellent, plenty of food and very tasty. Alec was a great host, accommodating to every need, and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Vila Prespa is easily my top 3 accomodations ever. The bike tour was phenomenal. Thank you Alec, thank you Vila Prespa for a beautiful weekend.

Bijoux mit sehr herzlichen Gastgebern.

Liegt inmitten des Dorfes Dolno Dupeni unweit des Prespa-Sees, sehr ruhig gelegen ca. 2.5 km vor der griechischen Grenze. Wir wurden hervorragend betreut und verwöhnt durch Nikola und Mare. Man fühlt sich sofort zuhause. Gute Tipps zum essen, denn es gibt nicht viele Möglichkeiten. Hervorragendes Frühstück, praktisch alles selbst gemacht und frisch. Gute Siebträgerkaffeemaschine. Zudem stehen gute Fahrräder zur Verfügung. Zudem hat die kleine Villa nur gerade 3 Zimmer, was uns sehr gefallen hat. Wir haben bewusst den Prespasee und nicht den total touristischen Ohridsee gewählt, wir wurden nicht enttäuscht.
