The hotel is a beautiful old Officers barracks with tall ceilings and period features throughout. It is literally a 2 minute walk from the main mall which is full of restaurants and cafes. The hotel restaurant is very popular with locals too and with good reason! Their coffee is excellent and we were lucky enough to enjoy one of the best chocolate lava cake desserts we have ever had. Delicious! We booked a family suite with two camp beds plus bed spaced over a split level room. There was plenty of space, the windows could open which was lovely as we had a Juliet balcony, and the heating was scheduled to ensure the rooms were warm and cosy on our return from sightseeing. The breakfast is from menu and was very good quality produce. There is also a laundry service available which is super helpful. The manager was absolutely delightful and very helpful. This hotel was one of the only ones in Macedonia that provided tourist maps and that was very helpful.
There isn't a lift bit this isn't too bad as the staff help you if you need it. From an accessibility point of view though I'd say that you wouldn't stay here if you can't handle stairs.

The friendly family atmosphere of everyone that worked there. They did their absolute best to please all guests. You wouldn’t get that attention in a huge multi building hotel. We met the owners of the property and they treated us to a delicious traditional Macedonian meal. Nothing was too much trouble for them with their busy lives. Sooo welcoming and genuinely beautiful people. We stayed there 2 weeks and I’ve missed them all very much since and a smile always comes when I recall our time there. The breakfast was repetitive for 2 weeks but quite acceptable. We believed it would be a buffet with more traditional food choices.
