Set the table and keep the wine flowing as the chef of your group knocks up a hearty feast. When it's chilly outside, retreat to the sitting room and light the log fire for a cosy evening with your loved ones or take a minute to yourself with a long hot soak in the master bedroom’s freestanding tub. Spend long days frolicking on Whitby Beach, followed by a climb of the famous 199 steps to the abbey for tales of ghostly legends and gothic vampires – after that, a whipped ice cream with a chocolate flake is well deserved.
