The master bathroom would be better having a proper shower included. The bath is nice but only has a hand held shower.

A nice short break in the countryside and luckily we had lovely weather.

We liked the lodge as it was comfortable and welcoming. The location was great for exploring. The hot tub was great to use. It was peaceful during the night so had a good sleep. It was good to have it stocked with everything you may need. Small basket with cookies and crisps but no wine! It was good there was a quiet time as quite a few children staying. Lovely to have the farm shop within walking distance. Lots of walks to go on as well. Beautiful surroundings.

The cleaning could have been better particularly in the bathrooms. The en-suite was full of dust at the bottom of the radiator and could have done with a new toilet seat. The washing machine needs cleaning as it actually stained clothes I had washed. The internet was poor and very annoying when trying to watch tvs in the bedrooms. The lodge next door had a football net near our lodge and had to listen to the children playing football. Might not be an issue for people but I wanted to get away from that and have some chill time! Could have been some butter in the fridge as well as the milk. Lots of dogs so if you don’t like avoid. Overall we had a nice short break.

Fantastic family weekend

Excellent location. Walking distance from Pickering and Thornton Dale. Lodges were very clean with most things provided including robes and slippers . Hamper was a nice touch with dog treats also included.

Just one small thing which could have been added to the check in notes - check in says 4pm and no point in arriving even a few minutes early as you won’t be able to go to the lodge before 4pm. Everyone had to wait in the car park until exactly 4pm. Not a problem but had we known we would have set off a bit later. The main bathroom had a free standing bath. It did have a shower head but no curtain. For us, another walk in shower would have been better as we all ended up using the en-suite shower.

This was a phenomenal place to stay. We had a wonderful time. Beautifully presented, lovely walk to the local strawberry farm and amazing easy to use hot tub.
