Great location and a comfortable apartment

Clear instructions for accessing the flat, fantastic location in the heart of Vieux Lyon, and there was everything we needed. The host had thoughtfully provided items to start us off - tea, coffee, kitchen cleaning supplies, etc. Very well set up. Even though it's in the middle of a very touristy neighborhood, it's quiet.

The apartment is dark as the windows face into a courtyard. There is only 1 flight of stairs but it's a circular one and could be difficult to navigate if you're not expecting that. Neither is a deal-breaker, just something to note. The place is quite wonderful. I was there for a week and it was so comfortable.

Lovely location.

Oh my the location is amazing. Place du Change is the heart of Vieux Lyon and you walk out the door and are surrounded by historic buildings as well as restaurants- a very lively scene, but you don’t hear anything from inside. This is a renovated apartment in a 15th century building and they even have a little book about the 4 apartments they renovated. The shower is amazing by the way. Check-in was very easy

Perfect.MUST STAY!

This place is fabulous. It was so cool to stay here. It is private and secure. It has everything you need. We are so grateful we got to do some laundry here. We stayed here during the heat wave of 40 degrees and we were very cool. The fan was perfect. Don’t let the heat scare you off, it is a shaded and cooled room so you will be fine. We love this property. It’s in the best location in all of Lyon. Everything is walking distance.

Very comfortable and interesting stay in

The location was great; the apartment is in a renovated fifteenth century building in the old quarter of Lyon, with many of the main sights, and numerous cafés and restaurants, right on the doorstep. The apartment has been thoughtfully designed to provide comfortable accommodation and is very well-equipped, with every type of convenience, including a washing machine, clothes dryer, iron and ironing-board, as well as a full range of kitchen equipment. It was very clean, warm and quiet. Communication with our host was good, especially directions to the apartment, instructions for gaining access, and information about the building and the area and general instructions about Wi-Fi, rubbish disposal etc.

The only thing that would improve the apartment would be better lighting in the kitchen area, especially over the table.

Cosey, character filled accomodation in a fantastic location - just lovely!

What an amazing location - we felt like locals navigating the entry gate and stairways to our warm haven away from the crowds Loved the warmth from multiple heaters and towel warmer So handy to have our own washer and air dryer in the apartment - lack of dryer did not affect us as the huge clothes rack and warm apartment dried our clothes easily

Would have loved some more pillows for the bed but this would not deter us recommending this property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a charming fifteen-century building in an apartment with modern design and facilities. The location was excellent in Vieux Lyon providing a quiet haven with many restaurants nearby.

Full on Vieux Lyon, you are a part of the scene in lovely, well-equipped and beautiful thoughtful accommodation.

This property had many many little things that added up to make a great stay for us. First off, it’s a great location. The bed is very comfortable and the rain shower is to die for although there is also a handheld shower if you prefer. I especially liked that some of the lights are on short timers, so that when you get up in the middle of the night, the lights stay on long enough to help you find your way back to bed. The towel warmer was a nice touch. Communication and key pickup were straightforward and easy. The host was very helpful. It was so nice to go for a short rest in the afternoon before getting back to the work of nearby sightseeing.

There are no windows to the outside and when someone comes into the courtyard late at night, the courtyard lights come on and shine into the apartment a little. Not a big deal though. The advert says there is a tumble dryer but it didn’t matter that there wasn’t because there was a very large drying rack that worked wonderfully. It was a minor convenience that the toilet and sink are in two different spots but that is such a minor issue. Sometimes it can be noisy outside but I thought the occasional revellers gave a vacation vibe.

Except for the noise and disturbed sleep, it was a nice few days. Excellent Lyonaisse cuisine all around.

The location was perfect for walking in old Lyon. The apartment was a good size and the layout was well thought out. The bed was comfortable.

NOISE. We arrived after travelling for 15 or so hours. The apartment was super quiet… until other tenants and guest started going up and down the stairs talking loudly, the cleaners were yelling outside our room, city workers started cleaning the court yard and working on a manhole, and some sort of grating/scrapping noise. Every time some one used the stairs the light came on (blackout curtains might help). It’s an historic traboule, and oozes charm and character. The noise echoes about the court.

Nice ancient place in the old town

Location, old house charm, cleanliness. The courtyard elements are from 16 centaury very charming. All amenities were there.

Contactless check in was before arrival somehow complicated. I had to fill the form and owner supposed to send door codes in return. It didn't arrive before the day we went there. I got sms from unknown source to send my bank details and pay 500 euro deposit. How to know that its real, we had our doubts?

Quiet area, clean room, comfortable bed, good location, quaint with 28 steps up a medieval spiral staircase. Remodeled.

I had to walk blocks (with backpack & suitcase) to take a 500 euro check as a deposit to the local agency as there was a problem putting the deposit on credit card online (tried 2 different ones). The lockbox was difficult to open when getting the key out. When I left, I couldn't get it to open at all. I tried the code 3 different times with help from other renters--finally left it in the wooden box. This was the third time where I have had problems at properties without on-site owners, in the past 3 months. Also, the apartment lacked several amenities such as a toilet paper holder, a cutting board (as there is virtually no counter space), coffee filters for the coffee pot, etc. It's a basic "2 star" place.

excellent location right in the heart of Vieux Lyon secure access historic building with modern touches very quiet despite its position

my only issue is the parking the property details on booking.com refer to on site parking but this is not correct as the property is in a pedestrian area of the old city. I checked the parking situation in advance and knew that there was a public car park close by but what I did not know was that you could not drop off luggage at the property the parking cost 81 euros for my three night stay I think that this should all be made clear in the details I managed without major difficulties although my satnav tried to take me up a closed street. I needed to make two circuits of the one way system around the river to get into the car parking safely. once in the parking it would be useful to advise guests to drive as far along as they can underground so that they can walk out just opposite the street to place du change

La situation géographique

Manque de propreté, il y avait encore des vêtements des clients précédents dans le placard. Le bruit dans le bâtiment pour la première nuit (samedi soir) Pas de volets ni de rideaux assez occultants, dès que quelqu'un rentrait dans le bâtiment on avait la lumière dans la chambre. Ampoule qui pend. Je ne recommande pas du tout
