Everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Fully equipped kitchen. Lovely base to explore the quaint village and to explore the surrounding area.

I would say the parking slot is really handy but it is quite a tight spot, especially if like us you have quite a big car. Also opening the double gates you have to take care that if the other cottages have a dog they could be in the courtyard.

Perfect stay in the Cotswolds

Coln Cottage is in a perfect location in the centre of Stow-on-the-Wold. Private off-road parking was good and all the contact with the owners was excellent. The kitchen had absolutely everything you could need to self cater, and there were lots of little touches to help you feel at home, eg bubble bath, welcome wine and cake. It was a perfect week of walking, with the area looking glorious in a mini heatwave

Perfect property for a lovely week in the cotswolds.

Fantastic position, gorgeous property, had everything we needed plus lovely unexpected provisions. We had a wonderful week, made so much better by the beautiful quality of Coln Cottage.

The clothes dryer left the washing quite damp and caused a lot of condensation. This didn’t bother us but we were worried it could damage the property. It may have been the cause of a lot of condensation on the bedroom window each morning.

Loved the old photographs of Coln Cottage probably 100 years ago - comfortable and big enough for two and maybe a pet.

We found the boiler in the bedroom cupboard, disturbed us at night as it clicked in and out - but sleeping anywhere different to home can take some time to adjust to.

A cosy and welcoming cottage in an attractive Cotswold village.

Very well equipped kitchen. The place felt homely and welcoming. The heating in the property was very good. The private parking was great - essential when staying somewhere as busy as Stow. There was plenty of information about the local area, plus maps and guides for attractions. There was a very thoughtful welcome hamper with wine and cake (very yummy). There are many places to eat and drink in the village, all within a few minutes walk of the cottage.

This lovely property was rather let down by the bathroom. The sink was too small to wash your face and the shower was almost impossible for my 6-foot tall husband as it is fitted under the sloping roof of the eaves. The photo of the bathroom doesn't give a clear picture of these problems. The entire property is poorly ventilated as only the bathroom window can be opened.

A beautiful, well equipped small cottage in an incredible location

The property was really well appointed, equipped and laid out. The lounge was comfortable for 2 people and one large dog. The kitchen had everything you could want and easy to prepare meals in. It was great having the secure courtyard and parking. The location of the cottage was brilliant, in the ideal part of the Cotswolds for exploring the area, within a 5 minute walk of a large Tesco for easy shopping and in the middle of a beautiful small town with all the shops, pubs and restaurants that one could want.

I am very tall and the shower area was small and very hard to use, I had to constantly squat to fit in and my shoulders were too broad to face the shower head. I suspect that someone with limited mobility would be restricted to only having baths. Even my partner who is smaller than me struggled.

A great way to celebrate our first wedding anniversary

Location was fantastic to explore Stow on the Wold but also to walk and enjoy other areas of the Cotswolds. Cake on arrival was a very nice touch.

Wish we had better weather on the Saturday but the cottage was a perfect base for our weekend getaway.

I love the Cotswolds and stay a couple of times a year.

Coln Cottage is perfectly placed for enjoying everything the Cotswolds has to offer. The centre of Stow is right on the doorstep. Excellent private parking. Very nice welcome from the owners.

Lovely, cosy cottage. Ideally located.

The cottage is ideally located just off the town square and has secure parking for a vehicle, which is excellent. The cottage is only a few minutes walk from the Tesco supermarket and there is a field where we could exercise our dog two minutes walk away. The cottage itself was lovely and cosy, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. Shortly after our arrival, we received a telephone call to check that we had arrived safely and that everything was in order. We have already recommended the cottage to friends and next time we want a stay in the Cotswolds we will have our fingers crossed that the cottage will be available.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like.

Pretty little cottage, we would love to come back!

The cottage is absolutely lovely - a really nice size and kept very clean. As dog owners, we were delighted that dogs were allowed to stay too so we were able to bring our spaniel along! There were lots of little extra touches left like some eggs, milk, cake and a bottle of wine which made us feel at home! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!
