In the UK, we spend a lot of time in Premier Hotels. Staying at the Hotel Venere Azzurra was a completely different experience! We liked the enormous super-king bed, that was firm but very comfortable (in fact, very similar to Premier). We loved the bedroom balcony where we could sit out and enjoy the beautiful view while we sipped our coffee. The inclusive breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice, from bacon and scrambled eggs, to croissants and various patisseries. There was also fruit and yoghurt, and a selection of fruit juices and herbal teas. The hotel was very clean and modern. The shower was spacious, and the water hot and powerful. We appreciated the availability of a lift to the various floors, but to get to the lift from the road entailed climbing quite a few steps because the road was about two or three metres below. While some effort had been made for guests with low mobility (we were on the second floor next to the breakfast room and everything here was on one level, including the bedroom), it’s not very wheelchair friendly. We visited in mid-may 2025, arriving in the evening, and were able to park our car in the car park down the road. As has been noted elsewhere, it’s cheaper to buy a 24 hour ticket from reception than pay in the car park. The general environment of the area was nice too. While there were some street stalls selling souvenirs and clothes, the atmosphere was of quiet, elegant tranquility, unspoiled by noisy bars filled with loud holidaymakers. We would certainly stay here again, but we’d bring our own snacks!
The main deficiency of the room was that there was no way to make a cup of tea or coffee. Once the breakfast room closed there was nothing except the contents of a tiny minibar. It seems that food and drink can only be found in restaurants and bars since, when we tried to buy some snacks, there seemed to be only one small supermarket in Lerici, and another in the opposite direction.

Lovely beachfront property with quick access to the ocean
The dining area is small and some breakfast must be eaten within a specific time slot

The location is top-notch, you have a view of the whole Golfo dei Poeti. The staff was kind and the breakfast was delicious - especially the fruit bar. I also enjoyed the balcony, which had a stunning view of the sea.
The beach close by (across the street literally) is usually really busy at night - with teenagers making a lot of noise. There are even disco nights and the rooms are poorly soundproofed - if you value your night sleep during your vacation, think again.

Loud music from neighbouring beach club during one day.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room had a huge balcony overlooking the sea so we had amazing views. The room was comfortable and the shower was good. We had a good breakfast every morning.
Our room was directly under the breakfast room so every morning we were woken by the sound of chairs scraping on the floor - this could easily be eliminated by putting some inexpensive felt on the feet of the chairs. Everything else was good but it's a pity that there isn't a small bar/cafe available at the hotel for guests.

We had probably the best room in the hotel with a balcony and a view to die for. Each morning the sea was wonderful and we saved money by not needing to go onto the beach as we were right there from our balcony
The hotel did not have a bar or restaurant where we could just sit and watch the world go around with a drink or a simple evening meal. We didn't really want to go out each night to a full blown three course meal and a simple bowl of pesto and pasta at the hotel would have been perfect

The view from our room was amazing! Light, cozy room with clean bathroom. Nice breakfast, great location, just narrow street across the beach. Close to the Lerici’s main square and even closer to the parking.
The balconies could be separated from each other. But still - the view compensates everything.

Wonderful little hotel with a fantastic view. We stayed in a room with a balcony - worth every penny! Very clean, practical, and modern. Positively surprised by the breakfast - fresh fruit, good coffee, bread, müsli and cold cuts - much better than anywhere we had in Italy as breakfast is not a big meal here. Location is amazing - right above Venere Azzura beach where you can also reserve sunbeds. Made our beach days super easy. The guy at the reception is slow and subdued but the young woman is very helpful and friendly. Would recommend and would return!

The room was a bit noisy. You could hear the noise from the street and also from the hotel

At check in, the lady helping us was very nice. we asked her if she could move us to a room with sea view and she did - the room was so worthy! it was good size, clean, and the bathroom was amazing. great soaps and all very clean. the location is great, you are literally 20 metres from the beach and you can hear the sea at night. we left our window open at night and wasn't noisy at all.
for the price we paid for one night (almost €200) I overall think it wasn't great value for money, mainly due to some members of staff being extremely rude and loud. I am referring to one lady working in the breakfast room, yelling at her colleague, treating her and the guests really badly.
Guests were assigned a turn for breakfast, to ensure the arrivals would have been scattered (covid measures). when we got there, all the tables were messy and dirty from the previous turn and the poor worker tidying up was running around while her colleague was yelling at her "you need to be quicker". it was only two of them, definitely understaffed considering it was a full house and it's high season (July). we had to wait over ten minutes before we were able to sit down.
A guest asked for some fruit salad (the buffet isn't open to guests due to covid measures so the second worker working had to fill your tray with whatever you liked) and the rude lady started saying she couldn't give it to her in a glass as "people could have easily broken them". No bowls left apparently. When asking for a soy milk cappuccino, then for a yogurt, the lady started yelling that "the yogurt does have real milk in it though!" as if we didn't know. worth saying that we didn't ask her, really. the croissants we got were not cooked. clearly defrosted but not in an oven - we left them there as they were cold and soft. when we mentioned this, we were offered another one from the same pile (LOL) so we declined. the breakfast room could do with some calming music, both for the guests and for the workers as they are clearly stressed out.

Location and view, nice walking distance to the towns, near the beach. Excellent service at breakfast, great barrista and nice guy. This type of attitude should have everyone working in the hospitality industry. Good air con in the room. Nice roof terrase
Cleaning should have been better. Mold in the bathroom, especially the shower and spiders' nets around the windows. Noise from the beach club at night. Reception staff didnt seem to communicate to one another. WIFI didnt work 95%of the time.
