Lovely clean and well equipped cottage in a beautiful rural location. We had a wonderful week discovering the Cairngorms

Comfier sofas would have been nice as they are quite small and narrow so hard to lounge on. (Minor point though)

Its a very bright and spacious house. Has everything you need. Love the window seat and table at the window. Its a nice place to sit.

Only slight negative is i would brighten up the main bedroom just a bit dark.

A comfortable, well-laid-out home in a very special village.

This is a lovely property in a wonderful location. We all enjoyed our stay very much.

The only issue we had was that we arrived very tired from our journey (I drove for 12 hours to reach the cottage) and we were all hugely looking forward to recovering by relaxing by a roaring fire - so it was a big disappointment to find there was no firewood available, and that this hadn't been made clear prior to our arrival. We sourced firewood the next day from Aviemore and after that we enjoyed lovely fires in the evenings. One of the reasons we'd chosen Nurses Cottage was specifically for the woodburner, so it would have been nice to have some firewood available on our arrival. That was literally the only downside, as everything else about the property and our stay there was excellent and we'd thoroughly recommend it.

comfy beds peaceful location dining area lovely sitting there all together handwash came home and ordered some been able to take our pet

hot water run out a lot no extra blankets heating could of been on more glad i took a warm jumper to have on lots through the day plus in my bed at night very cold oven took ages to heat a better welcoming hamper the gate at side could do with a lock on it child can push it open garden could do with a tidy up could not see tv from the sofa at the side no floor mop cheap dish cloth my partner looks after holiday cottages so our expectations were not what wee found for the price wee paid

Best Christmas ever!

The property was beautifully clean and maintained. Everything that you needed was there (apart from a microwave but no issue) the hosts had left a beautiful Xmas tree for us and right next to a park so perfect for kids. Very short walk to the shop and pubs and I just wish we could’ve stayed longer! Storm Gerrit hit when we were there so we were without electricity however the hosts co Stanely checked in on us and even offered to put us up in a hotel for the night! She even posted a parcel that had been sent to us and some items we left accidentally! Absolutely outstanding!

Fantastic experience to enjoy the tranquility of the highlands

Very cosy and homy place! Enough space for a family of 5. Everything went smoothly.

We absolutely loved the cottage. It was a little difficult though to cook for all, as not all pots and pants were fitting to the modern inductive cooking field.

Amazing cottage in a stunning location.

The property is fantastic. Decorated to a high standard and well thought out. The rooms are all a good size and the beds extremely comfortable. Great outdoor space which made the holiday for our dog Lottie. Lovely outside seating area which catches the sun in the evening.

Beautiful, clean cottage in the heart of Tomintoul

Emma was so kind and communicative from time of booking until the time we left. The cottage was spotless and beautifully decorated. We visit Tomintoul once a year and I hope we will be lucky enough to be able to reserve this cottage again next year!

Great house, lovely location, very nice village must be wonderful in summer

Great location for the Lecht ski field and with a couple of pubs/hotels plus village store good place to stay.

The only small point is that there is no light above dining table, on winter nights this would have been nice but by no means did it detract from our stay.

Beyond perfect!!

Immaculately presented, so cozy and everything you could need was there for you.

No complaints, just observations!!! handles at the front door for less able bodied would be good. we all knew about the lip on there door between to kitchen and utility room, still all tripped on it. But these were very small observations which did not spoil a superb few days away!

Lovely, pleasant but unassuming place to stay in heart of the “real” Cairngorms: thank you.

Nurses Cottage is beautifully yet comfortably and practically arranged: furnished and thought through. It’s in part of the Cairngorms that is less busy than other parts: but the town of Tomintoul has its own life and residents and is incredibly pleasant and easy to explore the area from, with its own lovely hill or lower level based walks. We loved the two mountain walks we did from slightly out of area in the actual CairnGorms: but we also really loved the two hill walks and one river walk we did from the cottage. Such a pleasant and welcoming place- I always worry travelling with children and dogs and it was just lovely and no worry.

Fantastic property, clean, comfortable beds and in a great location. Wood burner a bonus and shed for storing our bikes. Glenlivet bike trail 10 minutes away. Highly recommended.
