Clean and comfortable. Good location, bus stop for Derby just over the road. We were attending a wedding at West Mill, so great location for us. Friendly owner.
Nothing to dislike.

Close to where we needed to be.
Dog friendly ( even though we didn’t bring our dog we could have)
Plenty of auxiliary heating ( electric fire and towel rail) in addition to radiators ,which were needed at the end of November !
Helpful host and friendly dog.

Early check out at 10am is a bit unusual

Lovely setting and privacy. Well equipped. Helpful host.
Needs a bedside table, but I’d specify a single bed next time. Difficult to get into double.
The breakfast bar seating a bit tight.

Bread, butter, jams, cereal and milk all provided.
Living room blinds didn't feel very private.
Two beds pushed together to make a double which did not have the middle covered so felt a little uncomfortable

Excellent large garden which was dog safe. Very good covered outdoor patio with seating and a barbecue. Good dog walks in nearby park.

Great location.lovely garden . Close to the town centre and A38 road. Very lovely host and the dog, Barney, came to say hello to us whenever he came out to the garden. The place and area was very peaceful. Whole garden studio has a lot of facilities

Stayed here for several nights every year for the last few years. It has everything you need including a lovely outdoor seating area.
Nothing to dislike.

I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived, as the garden studio was much bigger than I had anticipated with plenty of room to ‘spread out’. Having access to the host’s very lovely garden was a bonus for both myself and my dog, and the outside seating area with the swing chair was well utilised on the sunny afternoons.
The studio had everything you could possibly need and the breakfast provisions were appreciated. The bed was extremely comfortable and supportive - great for my dodgy back!
Location was convenient and, although close to both the A38 and A6, I didn’t find the traffic noise intrusive.
Jacquie and Danny were both very accommodating and friendly - and not forgetting Barney, their beautiful Golden Retriever, who would often saunter up the garden to say hello.
I would definitely stay there again.

I spent a few wonderful days in the bungalow with my 2 dogs. They loved especially the large garden and the hosts + their dog. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The bungalow was ideal for us. Beautiful location. If travelling again to this area, we will definitely stay there again.

Lovely space to relax in and really welcoming hosts and their lovely dog!
Nothing! I’d take a torch to navigate the hosts back garden if coming to the property when it’s dark.

Private and secure. Adequately furnished if you wanted to spend time there and cook a simple meal.
Information provided about the local area and amenities.
Very peaceful - we slept really well.
The sofa bed isn’t particularly comfortable to sit on but I appreciate it has a role to increase the number of people who can stay.

Nothing negative to report.

No hassle getting in. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk etc waiting for me. Clean towels etc Very thoughtful.
The building inside was comparatively quiet. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming as was their lovely dog.
The real question is would I stay there again? Yes I would.
The sofa/sofa bed in the living area was a little low for me. The step into the shower was quite big. The shower floor was slippery, Then again it's probably me that was the problem as I am not too steady on my feet these days.
It can't be helped but you do not have gaps on either side of the bed where you can sit and then get into bed. You have to go over the bed to get to the top. But once in the bed is comfortable and warm.

it was really good value. it was dog friendly and although small was cosy. there was a welcome hamper with bread milk and cereal which was a lovely touch.
there was doggy do in the garden which we stepped in in the dark and was quite hard to avoid.

We liked that we had the choice of one very large or two single beds. There was fresh bread, butter, jam, cereals and milk provided, together with tea and coffee, decaffeinated if that was the choice as well. Lovely garden and use of garden facilities if required. Good sized shower. Good kitchen facilities if there was a need to self cater.
The fact that we only stayed one night out of the two we booked. Family illness meant we had to return home early after first night.
