Apartments - Laipu

This is second time we stayed in this property mainly due to its central location in old town with all shops including restaurants are dotted around. The airport bus stop is only 200 yards away. Lots of English language movies were available on the TV to keep kids entertained when not on outings.

No slippers are made available to use to go to mezzanine floor with swirl staircase with bare metal mesh steps. No hand wash/ soap bar is provided in either bathrooms as only body wash/ shampoo tiny bottles are available which do not fulfil the purpose. I have a feel that small round soap discs were available last time though I might be wrong. For people with mobility problems or large suitcase the place could be difficult to manage to get to as it is on 4th floor and there is no lift in the building.

The apartment is in a good location, right in the old town. Everything is as shown in the photos. It was very helpful that from the reviews and pictures I understood before booking that the apartment is on the upper floors — this was not a problem for us, but because of that we chose more convenient bags for our belongings. The reception staff also kindly recommended the most convenient place to leave our car.

The only thing was the stairs to the upper floors, but it was not a big problem.

Posizione in pieno centro, in edificio storico. Appartamento ampio, con letti comodi.

Da migliorare il check-in, perché risulta poco comodo il ritiro delle chiavi in un albergo distante una decina di minuti a piedi dall’alloggio. Sarebbe opportuno prevedere il self check-in.

The property was very comfortable, and spacious. Everything seem to be working well, clean, and in good condition.

It was virtually impossible to regulate the temperature of the shower, it went from cold to hot and it was unable to maintain a steady temperature. We had to pick up the keys from a location which was 10 minutes walking distance on rough cobbled streets to where the property was located. We had suitcases to lug with us, so this made it very uncomfortable. In addition, we understand that these pedestrian streets could not accommodate neither cars nor taxis. Definitely needs to be mentioned! There was no lift, and we had to walk up four flights of stairs with heavy suitcases. It should be mentioned that the property did not have a lift, for people with mobility issues. Although there was double glazing in the windows, the property was located smack in between several very noisy bars, and there was loud music till the early hours of the morning. It was impossible to sleep without having earplugs, and even then you could hear the basic Reverberation of the music. Not a good night sleep. This is a shame as the bed was very comfortable as we mentioned. Lastly, we were asked to give €100 deposit on the credit card. This was not mentioned at any point in the booking. Not fair!
