Very clean and just a few steps from the seaside, behind Palazzo Butera.
If you can, book the room with the balcony to enjoy your coffee there in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening, so worth it.
No breakfast proposed, but there is a small kitchenette in the hall with the free coffee facilities, so if you buy some cannoli (there is a mini-fridge in the room to keep them fresh!) you can enjoy your breakfast on the little balcony!
Good value for money.
The owners are lovely people but do not speak English at all. Only Italian. While it wasn’t an issue for us since we spoke some Italian, it could be for anyone that doesn’t. From this perspective, the owners could provide clear check-in/check-out instructions (and perhaps some local dining & other useful tips) in English via Booking or whatsup (with Chat GPT nowadays this shouldn’t be an issue!)

Calm location, close to various facilities (cafe, corso, bus stops), safe. The host is responsive and solves potential issues. Good wifi, minifridge in the room
Could be cleaner, the beds are traditionally italian so for foreigners a little difficult. The bedding didn't scream superclean either. Very limited storage in the room due to extra pillows in the wardrobe. Water damage/mold on very high ceilings. One room had a super tiny shower. Shared kitchen didn't have plates, very limited number of cups, no salt, etc. in short, the kitchen is just for coffee.
