The best part: The very warm welcome from Justyna, what a kind a welcoming person! The place and location are absolutely perfect!!!!

The location was second to none. Right in the heart of Palermo- close to everything. Felt very safe at all times. Apartment was HUGE- very difficult for noise to carry from one end to the other so quite private if you wanted to spread out. The balcony overlooking the street was gorgeous. Really appreciated being given two sets of keys. Wifi easy to connect to.

The kitchen was very small, difficult to do much cooking other than something simple like pasta or salad. Also, the three bedrooms that overlook the main street were not only noisy at night (and even in the early hours of the morning) but flooded with light due to there being no proper curtains or shutters that fully closed. My husband and I found that the sleep deprivation after 1 week was similar to having a newborn baby- we were frequently woken up by the light, the sirens, people on the streets below, car alarms going off, the garbage trucks etc. However, our 8-year-old son slept in the other room with the balcony and would sleep through the entire night undisturbed, so I guess it depends on whether you are a heavy sleeper. It is also just part of being in such a central location to some extent. Investing in some better block out shutters or blinds would mitigate this to some extent. I don't know if it would put me off staying there again though, as the location was fantastic and the apartment itself very comfortable.
